    BAD NEWS

The writing was NOT on the wall. Just a year ago they thought they were flush with cash and did not need any additional investments. I know because I asked. This leads me to a conclusion that the earlier estimate of a ridiculous daily burn rate was a bogus. How the hell can you burn $55K a day...

    Part Source Spreadsheet

Here is a link to a Google Sheets web-based spreadsheet. It is blank now. Right now I am allowing the entire world to edit it. Give it a try. Sources for Alta Parts Once something comes out of it, I will make active forum members as editors. All others will still be able to view and comment.

    MotoVlog 3 - Cahuilla Creek MX - CR125, CR250, KX300, Alta MXR!

LOL! You could have cut out the burger and french fries footage, unless they are sponsoring you. Now I have to go eat something. The lines on the Alta are so much smoother! You can carry a lot more momentum on it.

    BAD NEWS

Yes. I want to keep riding electric. My earlier plan was to wait for a new and improved Alta. Or perhaps wait and see what KTM and Yamaha come up with. But, absent that, I want to make sure that I always have a bike to ride and spare parts to use, in case I need them.

    BAD NEWS

And I am still looking to buy a used MXR for cheap. A parts bike to keep the other two running, LOL! Without any sale incentives from Alta Motors, all dealers are willing to get rid of Altas at cost -- their invoice prices. This makes the MXR cost about $12,200-12,400 out the door with all...

    BAD NEWS

This situation has been reminding to me 2008 and the Viper. Chrysler went bankrupt one more time, and Viper was for sale. Nobody bought it. The owners were all worried, and some dedicated and wealthy ones were going to buy production tools, but they never did. Eventually, the whole company was...

Anyone wants to make a 200 lbs carbon fiber Alta?

If the batteries were hot swappable, for my amateur motocross racing I would be okay with reducing the battery weight and range by 25-30%, if I could still have the same power. But I am afraid that the power will go down and the overheating will increase. Still, hot swappable and stackable...

    BAD NEWS

$5M / 100 employees = $50K annual salary per employee. They definitely need to get out of Cali, increase their sales and margins. All the expensive and time consuming R&D and brand building has already been done. They either need to be bought out (for cheap) or go expand their production and...
