That's not a part of the graphics cutout. It should be, however. There's a good amount of real estate there for logos or some design. I put the logo for the graphics company that sponsors me there.
I got out. I went to Pala yesterday afternoon and stayed after closing to make a little turn track in the parking lot to get some rut practice in. :ricky:
Let me know if they are willing to make you a 53T in the zirconium. I was about to order a 50T rear to drop the final drive by 5% to mellow out the snap of map 4 because they only have up to a 52T listed.
Highest efficiency on the MXR is between 30-40 mph, which has 12/53 gearing. The motor and battery are exactly the same on the EXR, so you'll likely get better efficiency in tight, technical riding if you drop a tooth in the front.
Just spoke with my dealer. They haven't heard anything about it yet. I had them place an order for a replacement subframe, 2 chain sliders, and a spare front fender bracket. We'll see what happens.
Battery is my biggest concern. I have no doubt the rest of the bike will hold up for many years. We might want to think about stocking up on a few OEM replacement parts, though.
If Alta really does close for good, i really hope they release the software and associated accessories so that us owners can keep the bike going and maybe open source develop it even further. I have no plans to get rid of mine any time soon.
I was thinking this, too. I suddenly feel like my bike is even more exotic and valuable. Just kidding though... I'd rather see Alta succeed and the technology push forward.
Fun fact, 2015+ kx450f's have a form of electronic traction control. The ECU recognizes when the motor spins up too quickly and retards timing to compensate.
