Different tyres with different profiles on different size rims. 🤷‍♂️

I found there was some slight rub so I used 1.6mm M8 washers to space the rear sprocket a little further out.

Yea i did the same. Excel rims and haan hubs. Really happy with them. Did you space out the rear sprocket to avoid chain rub or did the wheel builder do that?

Yea looks good in that picture. Nice bike. I guess it's just up to personal taste too. I changed my last exc from stock 6 days graphics to plain black plastics cause I thought that looked sick. Lots of younger kids in Norway felt the opposite.

Every 1 tooth change at the front is equal to approximately 3 at the rear. 15 does work although really tight. I asked an LLM to work out the speed change. New gear ratio 14/45 gives approximately 25% higher speed than stock, but the tyre circumference diff of the SM tyre reduces the speed...

    The Gray Ghost

I went with 45 rear so I didn't have to break the chain for either 14 or 15 at the front. Im mostly running 14/45 cause i like 14 for MX, gives more clearance for any mud on the chain around the front sprocket. I wouldn't go to 40 rear unless you plan on changing the rear sprocket chain guide...

Can't wait. I'll be watching your channel in anticipation. Thanks for the feedback so far. Enjoy!

    Stark Varg “weave” (steering wobble)

I have a few questions here. Isn't "nearly zero grease" very subjective? Some people's "zero" might be another persons "loads". I asked an LLM and got this response for different bearings: Wheel bearings: Typically packed with a high-temperature grease, and the amount is often specified in...

    The Gray Ghost

Yea I too have looked at a few graphics kits, they would suit the mx track but seem a little too over the top for street riding. I think the bike looks nice without loads of graphics though. I have considered changing the rear spoiler to white and just putting some simple numbers there (see @FYR...

Button Unit get Stuck with dirt, Varg EX and MX

I'm quite please with the one that comes stock. If stark trust it to protect the battery then I do too.

Regen and the front end ride and traction

Yea pretty much haha. No clutch, no gears, now no brakes, just throttle control. Someone mentioned you should have the regen at 100, because if you aren't accelerating you should be braking and vice versa.

I recall hearing him talk about releasing other colours in the future in an interview, maybe on Gypsy tales.

    Solved part number questions

The back lip of mine broke off in some wheelie loop outs (I blame muscle memory with no foot brake), so I drilled 2 holes closer to the light and attached the plate bracket there. Your existing plastics would probably be fine to test this on while you are waiting for parts. I decided in the end...

The big Stark Varg supermoto information topic

Take it to the authorities fully stock with the dirt wheels on. EZ fix. I once tried to register an EXC with SM wheels on it and it was a hassle, even though KTM made the wheels for me. In hind sight I should have registered it with stock wheels and then switched the wheels.

    Solved part number questions

The part number for A is correct: SEX1-P-RF-02-B For B it's SEX1-P-RF-05 My question is; do you really want that thing on the back? It will only break again. When you disconnect those 2 rear blinkers your integrated tail light will function again (rear light, brake light, and left and right...

Regen and the front end ride and traction

I pushed regen up to 60 at the track yesterday from my usual 40/50 regen maps. Sometimes I felt it was much too high, but the positive was I felt like I was riding the brakes less into corners. Some of the faster corners I didn't even brake at all, just let the regen slow me enough until it was...

The big Stark Varg supermoto information topic

My EX stand works fine on SM wheels, but I could see how a strong gust of wind or someone bumping into the bike could topple it. When my bike is at home I park it against the wall in my garage in case my young boys climb on it, that way the wall will catch it before it goes too far past the...

    The Gray Ghost

I went with the 4,50 inch rim and 150 tyre. I've read people are fitting 5 inch just fine but I swap regularly for MX riding so wanted something I could get in and out easily. I've had black SM wheels before on KTM EXC's and wanted something different this time so gold with black details was...

    The Gray Ghost

Good to see you've been enjoying it. If you like it now on the road with dirt tyres. Wait until you get some proper balanced road tyres. It takes it to the next level. I like what you've done with the charger, great engineering.

HadesOmega x Light Bee + Redshift SM39 vs MotoAmerica Mini Cup Qualifier Sonoma [July 20, 2025]

I really like the HUD you put together. Your laps times were really consistent in race 2. Good racing.
