    Lackluster Cooling System Performance

That sure would help some. Best would be a constant supply of a thin layer of water. Best handheld option is something like this to apply a thin layer that then can evaporate. Only very little heat is transmitted through normal conduction that's why it will cool more with an ever maintained thin...

    Lackluster Cooling System Performance

Spraying water with a bottle is rather inconvenient during riding. You could however having perforated tubes spraying a mist over it. The evaporation heat would cool the battery, if not everything is blown away directly. And why demi water? That little bit of deposit you get during a riding day...

    Lackluster Cooling System Performance

In the beginning overheating issues were a lott more common. Some updates later we see way less overheating issues. Also in the beginning we saw are lott more acute shutting down due to heat. Now it's more reduced power. Edit: But we do love a good build, so do proceed, just know the result...

    Lackluster Cooling System Performance

Well it does have cooling problems in SM. However that have little to do with the powertrain, but more the battery. Especially when 30min moto, 30min charging... repeat 5 times. We use fans during charging to cool the battery a bit and that does seem to work a bit to stretch how many laps we can...

    Lackluster Cooling System Performance

I see that 60C as well on my powertrain and it does not bother. Has done that for almost 2 years, also with cold weather in the sand. I would first try to find if it overheats, it won't explode or something, it will just loose some power or if you ignore that might go into limb mode. And even...

    Stark range video(s)

I do realize that it is small and for that reason i think the Stark is superior, just not for it having more raw torque. This one i've been looking for and superbly tells what i used a lott of words for. Were you to change a sprocket on the YZ you could actually make fun of it having more rear...

    Stark range video(s)

I don't change it all the time, but it might be a bit technical. Oke, but we don't have the torque number of that Yamaha on the output shaft/primary pinion. So comparing is quite hard. I have however taken some YZ450 gear ratio's from Chat GPT (but for our simple calculation that should do)...

    Stark range video(s)

No a Yamaha 450 makes around 50Nm at the crankshaft. That is something 3 reduction gears removed from the output shaft. An ICE can make more power at lower speeds because it can make more rpm at lower speed due to the greater reduction. Less torque but way more rpm makes for more power. If...

    Stark range video(s)

I'm not saying E is not superior, but just the numbers are not that wildly more than a normal ICE. And apples to apples... 275Nm is at the output shaft. That's not that hard to get on an ICE and i'm quite sure there are some that actually pull around that. If we have a good described engine i...

Stark has completely different gearing to other bikes. The final sprocket ratio is roughly the same, but inside the powerplant it's nothing alike. And you can change rear wheel torque by 10x, or a 100x, or a 1000x if you can slip in enough reduction gears. The 990 has 103Nm on the crankshaft...

    Stark range video(s)

So far i had little challenges with starting races. It actually has been quite reliable (1 dead battery and 1 handlebar switch that broke). However it does have a hard time finishing my 2 hour CrossCountry races. I don't think the MX 1.2 or EX would do either. When we get into the predicted by...

    Stark range video(s)

Welcome to the wonderfull world of gearing. Wich is indeed a loss on power, but actually a torque multiplier. There are multiple rear wheel torque measurements that go up and around Stark numbers. 1 of wich was a YZ450 that was also posted on this forum. If you really wanted you could surpass...

Depends in the gear. In first gear an ICE does about the same torque. Especially if you play with the sprockets.

    EX street tire question

Overheating mostly seems to occur at higher regen modes. Do you remember what regen you ran? Also with taller gearing i feel like i'm loosing less power over time so maybe less overheating problems.

    EX street tire question

The rear sprocket is just a KTM one and can be found all over the place.

    EX street tire question

I just hope their SM wheels will be as cheap as the MX ones. That would completely ruin the KTM SM wheel market. As far as i can see they either widened the triple clamp OR they used a smaller tyre than 120 in front.

That was what we were missing on the Varg, i was a bit low on power :ricky: I don't care if it could do 120 hp, my arm can only do about 48hp in MX setting.
