Check also the pins between the display harness connector and the main wiring harness. Its a brown connector (Molex) which may have a tendency to pop out.

To re-iterate (possibly sticky since info like this has a tendency to slip) Alta had Polisport fenders for the MX, EX and SM. Acerbis made the parts for the rear subframe (other than the street legal part, aka the beaver tail) . Fork guards are also Polisport. Front Number plate (MX, MXR)...

There is no battery in the key switch. The 9V battery lives in the ACM. That is the only tiny battery that lives in the bike. Phillp check the key switch to see if there was loose contact

MT was meant to be used to look at the state of the bike. For production we used it to program all the devices on the bike, time the motor and also check signals on the bike (there is a tab for that). Latest FW will be the most optimum for customers along with parts like displays.

Not really. That bike was built early in 2018. Last time I saw MX214 it had 4CS suspension(just like the original 17s) and no stickers on the fork guards.

They should be of the current design.

There were issues with the throttle board which caused that part to be moved into the inverter. Early build MX bikes need that throttle. 80 to 90 of the Alta population use the current throttle.

Possibly, but that will require a bit of work of cutting out the throttle board, and reconnecting. I believe the connector on the newer throttles is a JST. Also you may have to lengthen the throttle cable.

As a clarification the throttle you have posted for sale is for the older (MY17) bikes. All SMs and EXs and R based bikes have the throttle board living inside the inverter.

And so do I. They have a SM for a reason...

Careful with those. Sometimes the AER fork won't re-inflate with the pump.
