Somewhere around 155-160 km/h. Now that there is the custom app app that allows monitoring of motor rpm I plan to compare my ex to a friends mx, I have a feeling the ex is limited to ~1000 rpm lower than mxWhat would be the top speed for 14/48 on the ex 60hp ? 18inch rear
yeah man, i think SM customer will have a lot of range and overheating problems, because they will go fast on the street and based on the EX wich is the same bike, is not prepared for that kinda use, i dont know if stark made some settings but for me is not looking goodI'd be less worried about getting more speed out of the bike with changes to gearing, it can already make 170kph+ with 15/45 gearing. But at those speeds the battery is draining fast and the powertrain is overheating. I think these are issues best solved on the street version in their roadmap.
based on this image below i attached i see a smaller rear sprocket (i think is a 45t) and a larger front sprocket (maybe 14t, definitely not 12t like on the EX)I run 15/44 gearing on my supermoto setup and it fits fine. I wonder if the upcoming SM model has different reduction gearing as the EX runs out of rpm pretty quickly on larger asphalt tracks and it won't easily fit much longer gearing.
how can they solve that if everything is the same? thats what worries meI'd be less worried about getting more speed out of the bike with changes to gearing, it can already make 170kph+ with 15/45 gearing. With 17" wheel and 15/44 gears the EX tops out at 165 km/h. The cooling runs out of capacity really quickly and needs to be improved for the SM and other road models
i was thinking about that just after i post the comment, seems that i miss @DaveAusNor mentioning the 18"@Karinshi 17' or 18' wheel is the difference here![]()
i hope that too... i wanted to buy SM wheels (warp9, excel, smpro) but im going to wait and see their price, the others are very expensive, im sure it will be cheaper and thats nice! the only thing missing is different colors, i dont think thats gonna happen... 99% sure black wheels and silver hubsI just hope their SM wheels will be as cheap as the MX ones. That would completely ruin the KTM SM wheel market.
As far as i can see they either widened the triple clamp OR they used a smaller tyre than 120 in front.
Mine has done over 170 measured with gps. Every bike is different tho. And driven under different conditions. One of you has to be lying @DaveAusNor @TheJ0rma jajaja
one said more than 170kph with 15/45 and the other said that the bike tops out at 165kmh with even faster gearing 15/44
i think ill need to mount my own set up and make a video![]()
i can imagine i didnt mean to call you a liar by any means jajaja just joking because the data of both did not matchMine has done over 170 measured with gps. Every bike is different tho. And driven under different conditions.
The rear sprocket is just a KTM one and can be found all over the place.i hope that too... i wanted to buy SM wheels (warp9, excel, smpro) but im going to wait and see their price, the others are very expensive, im sure it will be cheaper and thats nice! the only thing missing is different colors, i dont think thats gonna happen... 99% sure black wheels and silver hubs
and they surely will release a 45t sprocket too so another thing i dont need to find somewhere else
from my screenshot i cant see if the clamp is wider, but i can see that the fork has less travel for sure, maybe 230 instead of 303, and he wasnt breaking at that moment, he was going probably 2kmh

placing an order with everything together on the Stark website i think is even more convenientThe rear sprocket is just a KTM one and can be found all over the place.

You can see the battery overheating icon on the phone on the end of lap 4 an no power on the final lapNice video
Battery went out pretty quicky, im scared of the new SM model, customers are going to complain a lot about range
Overheating seems to not be a problem for you that day, thats nice, you were giving it a lot of use and it responded well.
oh, didnt see that... my fear of what i said earlier is increasingYou can see the battery overheating icon on the phone on the end of lap 4 an no power on the final lap
