Does anyone know how to spot the difference between the Gen1 and Gen2 powertrains?

Charging port. Gen 2 in on the motor above the front sprocket.
If you search "Stark Varg" on the internet you will probably find only pictures of the Gen1; here are some pictures of Gen2:
