Yea whatever Amazon sent you is the wrong replacement. Obviously the image from their page showing unavailable compared to what you received is significantly off.

If you are looking to avoid the shipping costs then yes you will have to send what stark is looking for. You should be good to go with the new design. Or I’ll just send you one of these lol.

As you can see from my picture, the head of the toyota plug is way to big to fit between the threaded hole and side cover (see my pic holding the hex head plug up to the varg). The treads look correct to me, it's the size of the hex head that's the problem.
If this is the one Amazon sent you, it has the wrong threads, it says:
  • Thread Size: M12 x 1.25

Correct, and to add, these after market parts are stainless steel so the threads are stronger than the housing of the powertrain. If you cross thread or over torque the aftermarket plug it will damage and compromise your thread pitch. At that point you will need a brand new powertrain lol. But don’t tell stark you used an after market plug, your existing one failed and as a result caused failure to the seal (if it leaks). If you stick to your story you may have a brand new gen2 motor.

I guess I'm paranoid SV will send me the old plug design. I'm hoping if they do warranty it, they would make sure I get the correct design. Maybe it just doesn't make a difference, but with my warranty request, I asked they please send me the updated plug. I rememer someone (maybe this thread) got the old dumb design when the purchased it through SV.
Hell yea, get it under warranty! $2.90 is great, but they will probably charge you $15 shipping if you order it outside of warranty
