I think Mark at XEMX1 is really on to something with this quick change battery system. XEMX1.com has more information. Ask him questions on that site.
I don't know if they had a quick change battery on the gopro. I'll check with Mark.Definitely a sweet battery change system. Nice overall setup as well.

Nice! 5 minute win, even with battery swaps! I am curious how many batteries they had, and what % each lap used. I am sure that sand was pretty draining. Each lap was only 15 minutes. So did they have 5 batteries, or only 2 or three, which they re-charged between laps?

it is heavier than the XE4 #4 bike at 210 lbs. The 4.3 KW packs are 48 lbs. The setup is almost perfectly
balanced in the frame, so the extra weight is virtually unnoticeable when riding.

This is almost the lightest full-size bike around!
Even if the battery were increased to 5.8 kWh, this bike would still be 30 lbs lighter than the Alta. How can this be?!! Where are those extra 30 lbs of fat on the Alta that we didn't know about?
