    Varg - Gear Oil Change

Also this is going to be a huge issue for Stark. And now I understand why they changed the material for the inverter cover. This cover is compromised, the material is very delicate and any stone or heavy impact to this cover will crack it. With mine I have taken great care of the bike but the...

    Update with reverse/crawl mode

I just ordered the 10mm brembo left hand brake. Going to add it to the dual braking system, see how it is.

    Varg - Gear Oil Change

Wonder why they decided to do exposed stainless steal bolts on the top cover rather than recessed with the gen1. I know water collects here but you can blast it out with compressed air… The top cover material does stain easily due to it being plastic. Also it does crack!! So far the only major...

    Varg - Gear Oil Change

With the conversion luckily they made the head and the motor separate. One could just swap the head on this power unit and retain the gearbox.

    Varg - Gear Oil Change

This photo subframe retsins the charging port also?? Unless this has to be deleted once reinstalled? You mind send a front shot of the housing changes?

    Varg - Gear Oil Change

With the top cover altered it seems there will be a lot of space between the battery and power unit. This was one struggle I had with mounting the battery back to the frame. It almost to me felt like I had little to no room to reinstall the battery.

    Varg - Gear Oil Change

I suggest adding some blue loctite on the breather valve stem. Also be sure to add some added lube around the swing arm bolt so you don’t have to re do this later.

What is the overall weight? Does the gen1 feel heavier than the gen2?

    Varg - Gear Oil Change

Yea send photos of that unit. Curious to see what changed. Especially the breather line. And curious to see what the inside of the gear box looks like but I know that is over reaching lol. Also the swing arm bolt has a washer in it. I was worried this was an ingress point for water.

New mod today - Added Stark LHRB

Thanks!.. I wish it made me faster but it does not lol. Formula to Brembo hand brake conversion kit from stark. But it is going to change soon, I don’t like it.

    Power lights

I agree, even the communication is still broadcasting in hibernation. But according to stark it is not “best practice” to hard shutdown the bike; only for troubleshooting. I had a lengthy conversation with them about this topic. Stark is adamant in keeping the bike in hibernation assuring the...

    Power lights

It’s actually not recommended to do a hard shutdown by the way. Stark has officially mentioned that hard shutdowns should only be used for troubleshooting. The standby or hibernation is a mechanism and safety measure to assure battery integrity

    Varg - Gear Oil Change

Regarding milky oil changes… So I took the vacuum line tapper out of the motor and added some blue loctite to the threads. Stark added a tiny washer to this part, figured some thread locker will be some added sealant. Also I added a pinch hose clamp to assure no water ingress is coming through...

New mod today - Added Stark LHRB

I am thinking about running a 10mm brembo master instead of the 9mm stark provides. Here is a bit of titanium swagger with my setup.

    Varg - Gear Oil Change

This by the way we need to complain with stark future and Anton. As owners and customers we need the option to source these parts so we can do our own repairs. Right now as it stand, if the gears fail or internal parts for this motor, we have no choice but to purchase a new motor. Also Varg...

    Varg - Gear Oil Change

Should be very easy to tell. Just pull on the countershaft with the sprocket and if there is little play going in and out. The bearings have crawled and need to be seeded back. I will confirm though tomorrow, but I am pretty confident these inner bearings crawled to the gear, giving it enough...

    Varg - Gear Oil Change

Naw it’s the gears. The countershaft some how walked the ballbearing closet to the gear out. Something must have hit it. But it created enough play to shift the larger gear which created free play. Caused the gears to polish and wear as a result.

    Varg - Gear Oil Change

Yeppp and if you look closely there is another bigger hole across from the breather hole. That larger hole is for the gear oil to enter the shaft area. The two bears were stacked closer to the gear, and the thinner bearing was in the inner side. But yea driving that all the way across is not...
