Display Guard - Protect it from crashes!

I pulled the parts tonight and packaged them up. My son will get them in the mail tomorrow. I asked him to send you the tracking number. Now don't crash before you get the protection installed Ha, Ha.

Display Guard - Protect it from crashes!

Hey guys, I was over at Keith's yesterday, helping him complete a batch of Dirt Nappers, and had him pull out an AltaVault for a recently ordered EX. I asked how many he had left and he replied three. There is a finite number of EX/EXRs out there and quite a few people have opted to protect...

The banner that got me in this mess!

I remember that banner. Glenn suckered me into a test ride there too and I can home with the first of three Altas.

    Scott’s steering adapter

You could try the unit that Ohlins have that presses into the steering head. The bearing then goes into the new piece and the front end assembles from there. I have had the Ohlins damper on my EXR for over a year now without any problems. I believe it was made for current KTM/Husky bikes.

Sold 2019 Alta Redshift EX-R and a ton of spares for sale - 10k or best offer

I checked it when it was on for 50min. Great deal but I figured if I bought it (my fourth) my wife would kill me....and cause of death would be COVID.

    Tires for the enduro models

I go old school on the front with a 90x90 Metzler Unicross with about 10-12psi. On the rear I have been using a Pirelli MT 16 120x100 with about 5-6psi. Both have the Tubliss system. I find the extra knob on the edge of the MT16 reduces the roost in off camber mud here in the East and the...

Side panel / number plate screw spacers / compression limiters

So I am not the only one that had to scurry about chasing those little guys in my shop. That is an excellent idea and I will be making up a couple sets for my EXRs. Thanks for the idea.

MX and SMR Stolen in SF Last Night (6-17/18-2020)

Doubtful it will make it back east, but I will keep an eye out for it just in case.

MX and SMR Stolen in SF Last Night (6-17/18-2020)

Damn - you would think we would be fairly safe in that there were so few produced. At least the odds are better that it will be spotted and recovered.

Top of Mt. St.Helena (all the important stuff)

Oops. My bad. I glanced at it and read Mt St Helens in my brain. The rocks and terrain didn’t look right and it would be a tough climb on a bike. Teaches me to slowdown and read what is there. Looks like a great vista though.

Top of Mt. St.Helena (all the important stuff)

Two years after it eruped my two sons and I climbed the back side to look down into the still hot crater. Is there now a trail to take a bike to the top? I never thought they would open it up to motorized vehicles. It is spectacular as you look out in all directions to see the other volcanoes...

    lowering rear shock

I only run about 5# of pressure with the Tubeliss anyway, but I might consider using a 17" rim if I could get the tire selection (tire profiles are also drastically different in height.) As for the bird mouth, as a spacer that would be fine but it looks like there must be a continuous seal...

    lowering rear shock

I found this on Zeta's website. I took a quick od measurement of about 55mm so I assume we have the 50mm version on the id. Here is a screen shot of their part #.

    lowering rear shock

I have not heard the term "bird's mouth" what is that? I also have a lathe and was thinking I might do it myself rather than waiting until mid July.
