A buddy of mine has a newer Harley and it's almost comical how much the motor shakes and vibrates just at idle. Those die hard Harley guys are going to think the live wire is the next thing to the antichrist.

I don't want to be a downer but no way would you get that range in a race pace unfortunately. Guys are getting that type of mileage but it's play ride type riding.

I would be interested to know if that option still is available. Honestly I doubt Alta was thrilled with that proposition.

I reached out to the author of the video in my original post to see if by chance he’d be interested in trying his hand at a video for a portable powerwall project built specifically for the task of charging an Alta. I figured he might be interested since it would potentially attract a new crowd...

Yes, but that particular article was from December 17.

The 2.7kw charger I believe could be made to fit in a backpack. Definitely possible.

Wish I could tell you I knew. Other than conflicting reports of when to change the gearbox oil I haven’t heard of any other maintenance items specific to the Alta (except of course the battery).
