Alta parts on back order...any one got any yet?

I received the plastic parts I had in my order. All plastics from the shrouds rearward.

    Code 36 service required???

I had to use an endoscope fed in through the left shroud to read mine. You may be able to slide a mirror-on-a-stick in there and see it, as well.

Would like others to chime in with the last 3 digits of the barcode sticker on the back of their batteries.

    spare throttle assembly

The throttle is just a hirschmann e-throttle, however the plug is different. Youll need to snip off the Alta connector from the throttle on your bike and solder it on to the hirschmann supplied throttle. I haven't tried this but in theory it should work.

    Code 36 service required???

Those of you with codes, can you try snapping a picture or seeing what the last 3 digits of the barcode sticker are on the rear side of the battery, about half way up?

Hot Foot Alta Redshift Front Chain Sliders are here!

The Tusk footpegs are great! Pegs are one of the first mods i make to a bike. I like large, sharp pegs on my bikes. That said, these pegs required a little bit of modification to get to fit (see the Tusk Footpeg thread.) They also tilt forward about 5 degrees, but its a pretty comfortable position.

    Tyler Monagan youtube Alta Build

I appreciate that he completely tore it down and put it back together, and documented the whole thing. He certainly is the first to document it. However, I wish he would have done more functional upgrades like aftermarket triple clamps, suspension work, etc, instead of simply cosmetic.

    Chains

I ride primarily motocross. I run non-ringed chains on all my bikes as they definitely have less drag, so long as you keep them lubed. DID ERT2 and the new DID ERT3 are my chains of choice.

Hot Foot Alta Redshift Front Chain Sliders are here!

Here's a few pics. I just replaced the lower slider behind the footpegs bracket last night, so that's why it looks new.

Hot Foot Alta Redshift Front Chain Sliders are here!

My stock chain slider is whiped out at 37 hours/630 miles. The centering piece is pretty much ground flat. I sent an email to order a couple sets.

    Barons Oaks (San Diego) reopens!!!

It was my favorite local track to go to back in 2015 and was sad to hear them shutdown. I hear they are only open the weekends in January? Is that true or are they back for good?

    First Alta at Anaheim 1!

In the past they really tamed it down so that it wasn't much of a supercross track. I hear this year will be tougher though, since now they are using the event as a way for upcoming pro's to earn their supercross points. I'll get a sense of how difficult the tracks will be after next weekend at...

    Dumbfounded Alta is no more

I'm finding a mixture of interest. The little kids think its the coolest thing. The 20's and 30's guys are a mixture of skepticism and interest. The older guys love the bike. Generally everyone i've met in person for the most part shows a lot of interest and is excited about it. Its the forum...
