Throttle and traction control on the Stark

And if you already own a Stark and are noticing the same throttle control and traction issues, you should email support@starkfuture.com and open a trouble ticket. Riding the Stark on my dusty and slippery local track is a trouble.

Throttle and traction control on the Stark

Stark must be the lowest-end then. It's either a no-go, or it starts throwing rocks and digging trenches!

Throttle and traction control on the Stark

Riding my Stark and my Alta back-to-back again today. I think I figured it. What the Stark is missing is a good low-pass filter on its throttle input, which Alta has. On the Alta I can ride carefree in Map 4 and have fun all day long even on old tires on a dry, hard, bumpy and dusty track. This...

    Favorite mx regen

Depends on the track. If traction is plentiful, then yes. But today's track was dry, hard, and dusty, so I was doing more coasting and needed less regen to coast longer, so 40% felt okay.

OOPS! I had to correct this. I had 45 hp on the Varg. The Alta has better traction, but the throttle and power near the WOT position is a bit flat. The Varg has a better kick neat the WOT position, but the traction is lacking, and in flat corners it feels like I am in the 1st or 2nd gear, I...

I am running the Stark and the Alta back-to-back today. My Alta has a 12/45 wearing, which is similar to 14/53. To make them feel similar, I set the Alta into Map 4 and th Varg to 45 HP and 40% regen.

    Reduce Drag Stark

I am confused what you guys are talking about. Drag with the chain installed or not? You cannot make the motor spin freely, but with the chain removed it shouldn't be too bad. Make sure the brake caliper is centered and the pads don't drag. Polish the wheel spacers and lube the seals. Install...

ktm exc rear wheel fit stark varg?

KTM has 20mm, 22mm, and 25mm axles. The hubs and the bearings are the same, just the spacers and axles are different. This is my experience.

    Varg charging from generator.

If I were in the market for 240V generators, this Maxpeedingrod 6250IE would be near the top of my list: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B747WH4V/?tag=sce0f-20

All years, AFAIK. Only the spacers and the axles are different.

Kehoe Racing is racing two Stark Vargs in the US!

I thought I was not recording, pressed the button again, and accidentally skipped the first few feet of the holeshot. A rookie mistake. Dakota had a 7-second lead after just one lap.

Keep checking your Stark Varg changing plug

Luckily, I had my special 240 Plug to 110 Socket adapter, which used the same plug. I was able to borrow the plug from it, install it on the Stark charger, and not lose a day of riding. Strip those damn wires about 5/8" (or 15 mm), twist them, do not use any solder, push them in all the way...

Keep checking your Stark Varg changing plug

@Fog 25 alerted us to Check your Stark Varg charger plug almost a year ago. I didn't check. I thought maybe the issue was fixed. The issue was indeed addressed... but not fixed. The wires are now stripped longer, twisted, and soldered. But, apparently, the monkeys didn't tighten the contacts...

    Favorite mx regen

My regen is usually set to about 50%. Up in the air, it is a matter of comfort and preference, it is possible to get used to any setting. Instead, I set my regen based on the corner entry. Too much regen will make the rear-end skid when you have no rear-end traction and will make it difficult...

    Assembly quality?

The wheel axles are hollow, but they are capped with cap nuts on one end. I plugged up the open ends with plastic wine corks so that dirt and water do not collect inside.
