    Storm Bee

I actually liked the ABS on my KTM 1190R. It saved my ass (from a road rash) more than once. And it made steep technical downhills a lot more smooth and relaxing. It does mess up your braking and extend the stopping distances on gravel and in sand though. And you definitely do not want it for...

    Storm Bee

There is a speedo ring on the rear wheel. I am not seeing anything on the front, although there is a brake hose and apparently a wire going to the front hub. Some press release stated that this bike will have an ABS. If true, that would be a first on such a small bike.

Rock Guard, old vs new and the problem....

Does Canada grant citizenships to all EV tech specialists? If so, then the AOF membership should make all of us automatically eligible too. I don't mind getting free healthcare. What are the other benefits besides Canadian bacon, maple syrup, and Molson beer?

Mark911 can fix anything, if asked nicely

Awesome, Mark! You are going to get a lot of interest and many replies/requests over the next few years. Is it okay if I make your big announcement into a new thread and make it a stickie?

Harley Livewire - Demo Ride and Perspective

Are Ewan and Charley trying to get to Milwaukee by Christmas while riding electric Harleys?? Maybe the plan is to take an electric plane or a freshly dug Musk's tunnel to Milwaukee to meet their families??

Sold $5650 2017 Alta MX With 100 Miles

It appears that all price sensitive buyers here have already bought enough Altas for their current and next lives. But someone who always wanted one will scoop it up quickly, I am sure, as soon as they see it. @Christian -- why not you?

    Alta in the winter

In Russia we used to race all year round. Only had breaks in spring and fall when it was too muddy. In winter you'd lower the bike, fill the forks and shocks with thin hydraulic fluid, install as soft and as wide tires as you can find, and that's it. No studs back then, they weren't allowed. It...

    Alta in the winter

Damn, winter riding (at the end of this video) looks more fun that summer riding!

    Alta in the winter

Someone in Canada has done ice racing on an Alta. Won the race too.

How to build and connect a 220/240v to 110/120v adapter for your Alta Rapid Charger

Awesome, @C5tor! Thank you for posting this. I have moved it to the Chargers sub-forum, stickied it, and added a link to it from the Videos as well. I am sure many new owners will find this extremely useful.

Thinking about making the plastics for alta

The only ones that I saw up close were all plastic with a rough looking surface. My boots' hinges are already wearing through on the inside. I can't imagine using actual sandpaper near the boots or pants.

Yep. If you search for Sur Ron Owners Forum, the AOF comes up first already. I suppose we should officially welcome the Sur Ron guys here, especially since we have a few Sur Ron Owners here already.

Ouch! Are you sure?? This is sandpaper!

    Storm Bee

I like that they are promoting motocross and jumping. If the bike can jump and land well, then it will do well everywhere else too. Looks like we got ourselves a 125cc 2-stroke or maybe even a 250cc 4-stroke equivalent in this Storm Bee.

    Got myself a practice bike

I measured as many dimensions as I could, and it appears to be an exact fit. I thought someone already recently confirmed this in the Plastic thread. The rear end on the Honda is good two inches wider than on the Alta. The Alta's side numbers do not have to clear the dual mufflers, only the...

Help for charger connector (Homologation in France)

I think the French bureaucrats are trying to pirate the Alta's revolutionary design. Refuse to give them the info, just say 'non' !!!

    Got myself a practice bike

The suspension is out, ready to go back to the mothership. Removing the rear shock is lot of work on these newer bikes, I even had to watch a 10-minute long YouTube video! On my Alta the rear shock would have been out and already back in in less time than that. I must say that the quality of...
