Help me convert an MXR into an SMR -- Progress Thread

Hey all! I got myself some SM parts to convert one of my MXRs into an SMR. But I can't figure out how the front brake hose should be routed around all the brackets and the headlight. Please help me out.

    Rear Fender SM vs MX/MXR

Hehe. This must have been me who started the rumor about the SM fenders being different. I saw a box of fenders at Liquid that said "SM Rear" and I thought they could be special. My second MXR came with extra brass inserts for the tail light. They are not in the way of the tire, so you can use...

I do not think there will be a need for that. Not in the near future. You won't be able to break that many plastic parts to require Acerbic to make more.

@ayden_kry posted earlier that they are currently moving and are busy with that. But you can send him a PM, if you need something specific and urgent, and he will try to accommodate.

EV Dump truck that you don’t have to charge

They should have build an escalator or a ski lift. Load it at the top, unload at the bottom. The cars circulate and come back up the hill automatically. Magic!

Are the Plastics the same for MXR and EXR

The rear number plates and the shrouds are the same on all Altas. The rear fender and subframe are slightly different on the SM, IIRC. But I am suspecting they are still compatible.

    2019 Overland Expo East

I am hoping to see a few Sprinters there, but I am in doubt about Subarus. Jeeps and other trucks/SUVs more likely. And a bunch of adventure motorcycles with luggage on all sides. They will be camping there, I want to watch!

    2019 Overland Expo East

I was planning my cultural program for this fall. AIMExpo in Columbus, OH in September, Overland Expo in Arrington, VA in October, and maybe even EICMA in Milan, Italy in November, if I win the lottery. I miss the Italian food. I accidentally came across the Overland Expo ticket sales. The...

    SUR-RON MX

Totally disagree. Horsepower is king. Any large torque number can be achieved by simply gearing down. It's not the peak HP that matters though. It is the average horsepower over the actually used RPM range that matters. Nobody talks about this because it is not easy to measure, but this is...

Makes me wonder whether our bikes have 40/50 hp bursts or continuous. The dyno pulls that I did were less than 10 seconds in duration each.

Do not drain the battery fully. This would over-drain and possibly damage the cells that are in the same group as the disconnected cell. Take the battery apart and solder that broken wire bond with a soldering iron. Use a copper wire instead of aluminum. There is no need to have fuse wires on...
