    Stark range video(s)

I'm not a very good rider but do tend to jump each and every tabletop i can find. For that 40% regen is magic.

    Purging front shocks?

I just made it a habit. Mostly after 2 rides a lott of air comes out so i just do everytime.

    Purging front shocks?

Rather do it too often. Keeps the fork plush and the seals sealing.

Stark Varg: Gearing for optimal range

I have those front sprockets in numbers from 12-15 since our Beta's use the same and we play with that a lott more. I think i will go up at least 1 or 2 for SM since it flattens out before the end of the straight.

Stark Varg: Gearing for optimal range

But those guys can actually ride really really really fast. OEM's arn't stupid. So i always try to figure out why they did something before i change it. Too tall gearing on an ICE is often to meet regulations. But why would Stark gear too short?

    KTM wheel fitment

If i wear down these tyres, wich will take ages since ever since i got them my SM track days have been made impossible by family/work/weather, i will go to 150 and 110. As of now it will do extreme lean angles that i will never get to with my experience or MX suspension.

    KTM wheel fitment

In the rear it was a perfect fit though. Although i would have loved a 4.25 or 4.50 instead of 5.00. Anyways i would like a tad less wide tyres because it's all very tight.

Have you done all the updates? Especially on the early'er models we've seen quite the upgrades in range with some of the updates. Also makes for a smoother bike (hence using less power i suppose). I have found that regen braking makes little extra range in the sand. When using less regen it...

Stark Varg: Gearing for optimal range

Same for me, i love 1 or 2 tooth less up front on ICE's. Smoother sure is always faster. That's why we saw a big update a few months into 2024. They actually reduces throttle response. That way people actually became faster and somehow real world testing (by me and local riders) pointed out...

    KTM wheel fitment

I had to deliver the wheel without tyres and i mount them myself. I paid just under 700 euro for the SM set without tyres or rotors. Had to spend just under 300 euro in tyres (Contiattack SM 2) and the Stark rotors/sprocket fit. The wheels are basic quality as the wheel specialist put it. Not...

    KTM wheel fitment

The thin rotor has nothing to do with it. In this case it should even help. For what it's worth i have the KTM rotor with it wich had the same problem. Furthermore i tried a KTM SM wheel and even that slid in fine. This was a production mishap on 24MX side, but since i can't send them a picture...

Stark Varg: Gearing for optimal range

At those speeds i would say a bigger sprocket up front might would be beneficial. I do a lott of mud and rut riding and actually find it easy'er on the Stark than on my 300. Might be a personal thing though.

Royal Enfield Himalayan Electric using Stark parts

I did watch out for chargers along the Eastern TET (North-South) in France and found that there are not many, but they are there. If you're riding the same distance as with a conventional ADV and this is roughly within the 14.4-20kW specs you could do with one quick stop and overnight charging...

    KTM wheel fitment

2mm out of centre does make it scrub the fork when going through the stroke with a 120 wide SM. Also with hard braking you can feel it pull to the side on tarmac. With a 90 MX wheel in the sand it's a bit different story. I paid someone to reallign the wheel so it's centre. I measuered...

    Stark range video(s)

I have seen quite similar results over a full battery. Although the first few procent drain faster from 97-15 has been quite linear. In the 2 hour races there are long laps that drain 13% with a range of 12-14% per lap. I would say that's pretty linear.

    Stark range video(s)

Keep in mind there is a lott of "sand". Loose water like white sand. Clay'ish yellow sand, deep and lumpy "black"/brown sand. All those vary greatly on battery use. A funny thing i found is that having lower power modes like 35hp actually use more charge than 45-60hp. Having more direct power...

    EX street tire question

The Avon Trailriders are wonderfull tyres on these bikes if you do streetriding and some gravel. Even did 2 SM sessions on it and was remarkably good. Also the Kenda K761 is quite a capable tyre for these kind of machines. Did some touring and Adventure touring with both of the above on our...

    Emergency kit?

Useally IF (not all that common) the Stark has issues it's after storage or charging. The chain has no masterlink. That would be more work in the factory + a bigger change of a lineworker making a fault. Those chains are A quality so i wouldn't suspect them to break. And if they do you'll...

    Varg Red Tube

Yes you can order them at the Stark website. They're my spare tubes since they take so little room.
