Owner's Review I Finally got my Stark…Pros and Cons

What's your max HP setting? It's a lot easier to wheelie with a higher hp setting. Until we get the throttle curve adjustment, you need at least one map set to a high hp to use for easier wheelies.

How can you charge a spare battery off the bike?

As far as I know, you can't. So that means if you have an extra battery, you have to charge it in the bike, then swap it out and charge the next one in the bike.

Is it possible to add electrical accessories to a Starg Varg?

Every bike (almost any product) is a compromise. The Zero FX has advantages in some areas, and I assume the Stark has some other advantages or you would not have placed an order/deposit. The original $100 deposit we made 3 years ago was non-refundable. Here are the current terms: Refunds: You...

    chain fall off second ride

I have over 220 hours on my Varg, and the chain has never come off, I also have not felt the need to adjust it. That being said, a Buddy had his chain come off once crossing a very muddy area, but he thinks it was caused by a stick getting tangled up in it.

EX OR MX FOR MX ONLY RIDERS

Honda has been playing with an electric prototype for at least 5 years, but I haven't heard any reliable info on a production bike. Have you?

Cold Weather Storage and Charging Questions Answered

Interesting, it sounds like Stark is recommending leaving the charger on the bike indefinitely. They used to recommend unplugging the charger and not leaving it connected. This may have changed when they added the charge limiting sliders.

    Firmware not updating

If your phone has 4G, your bike will too. Might help if it's outside.

    Firmware not updating

Theo is correct, the bikes have a sim card and internet connection aside from the phone. Every time I have updated the bike firmware, there was a blinking light to indicate a firmware update was available. If that has changed I am unaware.

varg charger keeps showing a blue light after plugging it in, and the phone also shows that the bike is charging. But actually there is no charge

The bike has a 2 year warranty, including the charger. The dealer can't charge you for warranty service. I would call them or go there and ask for an explanation.

    Help needed charging point!?!?

Looks like a push fit from this photo, I'm thinking the black plastic tube part of the cover is broke off inside. Should be easy to get out, not sure, but @Chaddman123 you may have to push up on the little metal tab that is sticking out at the bottom in your photo.

Varg turns on in Neutral, cannot select mode

The phone display sometimes loses the BT connection to the bike so it appears frozen. Usually, this can be fixed by pushing the small button on the phone to blank the screen, then push same button again to restore screen. If that doesn't work, I turn off BT and Wifi on the phone and then turn...

NEW! STARK VARG EX is here!

You are still confusing KW vs KWh. That available power is NOT increased per hour, the number of hours is what is increased. I hope you will try to understand this: 60HP car = 60/1.34= 44.76kw (edited to correct math) The size of the gas tank is 6.5 gallons If you increase the gas tank to 7.2...

NEW! STARK VARG EX is here!

You are confusing KW =1,000 watts, with KWh Kilowatt hours 1KWh = can provide 1,000 watts for one hour. By your formula 6.5kw *1.34 = 8.71 HP !! Please see below...

NEW! STARK VARG EX is here!

Capacity does not equal more HP (although it can, based mostly on voltage). You could also have an 80HP bike with 2Kwh of capacity. But your range would of course be less than 1/3. Hope that helps clarify?
