    New VARG Software Update.

Yesterday at the track I updated the bike and noticed that it was less powerful, so I checked the maps settings and found out the same thing, then set it to 60 HP again and it felt pretty powerful again. I wonder whether it's proper to use this feature for things different from riding or moving...

AMA and Electric Motorcycles in AMA races

There is also a hole on the right side of the spoiler assembly to access the top battery shaft quicker.

    Varg - Gear Oil Change

Those prices are still the same, so probably you are right. @Tim Sharp: from your pictures I can't understand whether the area where the pull rod mates to the power unit has been changed in Gen 2, as a corrective action to this failure...

    Update with reverse/crawl mode

In their Instagram post they wrote that there is also an anti whiskey throttle function; that's interesting. That's understandable, but according to their manual (that I downloaded months ago; I don't know whether it has benn changed) the bike needs to be updated when the LED is magenta, so IMO...

    Update with reverse/crawl mode

The video has been released on their official YouTube channel today and according to their Instagram profile the update is now available. (I won't update right now because usually I update the bike at the track after having completed a couple of sessions so I don't waste my track day if...

    Varg - Gear Oil Change

I guess that if water seeps into those cracks it can electrically shock the rider and damage the inverter, too. From Foss: In the Stark's website I see that now they have listed the powertrain again as a spare part and there is also a gen2 conversion kit, but the prices must be wrong: 3,500 €...

EV sportcars/supercars from brands which became icoinc with ICE

Well, I would expect Porsche, Ferrari etc. to stick to their traditions and to be superior to trends like SUVs; I guess that at the end of the day they care about their revenues just like everybody else and so they adapt to what people want. So yes, I agree that an electric Ferrari is more...

EV sportcars/supercars from brands which became icoinc with ICE

IMO an insanely cool sounding EV, at least from videos. is the McMurtry car: the motor sounds pretty cool and the aerodynamics even better. Some weekends ago unfortunately somebody got hurt seriously at the MX track and so they called a helicopter to bring him/her to the hospital: no two stroke...

do you store the bike in standby mode or completely off?

I understand that we are responsible for what we do etc. but I don't think that there is a significant risk of fire or overhrating if the bike is in standby mode. Maybe an ongoing charging state like suggested above, which I believe could be done with a current smaller than 1A anyways could...

3 issues with my Stark Varg in 1 week.

Hey I love riding, too, so I completely understand your frustration, like, I think, a lot of other people here. I don't know you, but just maybe try and enjoy your weekend anyways and don't think about it. If you won't have an answer until monday, then don't think about it until monday. Don't...

DIY maintenance and safety for EVs

Does this work when the bike is shut down, meaning with no light at all from the LED in the control switch? In their video and pdf tutorials they say that the bike should be turned off before disassembling electrics or electronics, but in their videos and documents sometimes they consider it...

    charging plugs insertion sequence

Maybe the best solution would be to have a wall socket with a switch and start and stop the power supply only when both plugs are connected. I just thought that with a smart bike and a smart charger there wouldn't have been a difference.

EV sportcars/supercars from brands which became icoinc with ICE

... and I think that F1 shares a similar problem: just like Ryan Hughes said recently in a video, when an F1 car passes by it impresses people with that sound which I find so wild but so artificial at the same time; I have never heard a Formula E passing by but from some videos I've watched I...

    charging plugs insertion sequence

When I first got the bike I wondered in which order I was supposed to connect the plugs before charging and disconnect them after having charged. I therefore watched the video tutorial and it seemed clear to me that I was supposed to connect the bike to the charger after the charger had been...

DIY maintenance and safety for EVs

Research done: apparently there are different classes for those gloves according to the ASTM D120 standard, that is used even here in Italy: the 00 class should be suitable for the Varg, since it's approved for 500 V AC or 750 DC. They seem affordable. A piece of advice I've liked is to test...

EV sportcars/supercars from brands which became icoinc with ICE

Quite a revolution! I am no one and my opnion surely matters way less than Ferrari's one, but I am not convinced by their idea of just letting people choose their type of powertrain. Honestly I believe that very few things last forever: enjoying a sunset is something that people could do both...

3 issues with my Stark Varg in 1 week.

All this makes sense, but if the alternative is to leave a dangerous battery at someone's house, well, that could result in injuries, deaths, or other troubles, too. Besides, I don't know about you but personally I'm not sure about the legal way in which I would be supposed to dispose of an EV...

    New charging point.

Could anyone please explain the modification? ... It's not straightforward to me. I see that the top of the inverter has some aftermarket parts and that in the zone where the charging port used to be there is nothing.

Varg Down on power - Thermal Limiting

I don't recall the source of the following piece of information; I think I've heard A. Wass saying it in an interview, but for that championship they used Vargs with what looks like the same battery case but with fewer cells inside because their capacity was enough and their combined weight...
