    Reservations & Delivery/Due Dates

Maybe add a "Delivery Country" column as well. Mine is USA. Deliver dates or something in the order number might be related to country code. Plus it's just fun to see the different countries.

    Reservations & Delivery/Due Dates

Wheelsick, Since you are the OP, how about you edit your first post with a table that is a running list with order number, order date, estimated delivery date, actual delivery date. Once you create the table, you can hover and insert rows above or below when others post info in the future. If...

    Reservations & Delivery/Due Dates

I went back to my comment and added my order number. It would be interesting to compare. I'm on other sites where everyone shares order numbers of new vehicles and it's interesting to see the number or orders.

    Reservations & Delivery/Due Dates

From what I have observed, hp rating does not impact delivery date. Every time I've put a 80hp or 60hp in the cart, the calculated delivery date is the same between the two. Which makes sense. The bikes are identical except for a software setting. No reason for them to have different runs. They...

    Reservations & Delivery/Due Dates

I ordered 12/14/2021 and was given estimated delivery date of 9/24/2022. Order #CC12268 Going to the order/checkout page today (01/06/2022), it gives an estimated delivery date of 02/24/2023.

Stark Varg foot or hand brake?

The current offering for buyers is to choose between the two. Their accessory and parts page is not active yet. There may be something they offer there, but the no-cost option at ordering is choosing between one or the other.

STARK VARG (Something new is coming!)

1,440 orders a day (one per minute) seems realistic for around four days after the release (That estimate looks to be on Dec. 18). Hard to say if the volume stayed that high over the first 2 weeks, but if so, that would be just over 20,000 orders.

Ah yes. Right you are. I was only looking at half the case! Ha. Original post updated

New ALTA Alternative -Stark VARG - From Europe

Ah, Interesting. I have no first hand knowledge of MOQ, etc. I was thinking more simply and from the perspective that if cells are hard to acquire and a manufacturer obtains a specific number of them, one can build a lot more bikes from a specific quantity of cells compared to the number of...

New ALTA Alternative -Stark VARG - From Europe

At least the Varg only uses 400 battery cells per bike rather than 4,000 - 18,000 cells like in an EV car/pickup (depending on what type of cells they use).

    Off-Road Range Guess?

So the take away from this thread, so far, is the same as from every 'range' thread I've ever read for an EV dirtbike (Alta, KTM Freeride, Surron X, Surron Storm, Zero FX, etc.). Ha. That is that every trail rider has greatly different preferred riding speed, outdoor temperature, elevation...

    Off-Road Range Guess?

Stark notes the Varg is the first of many bikes. Presumably that means not only enduro and dual sport versions on this platform but also additional platforms. Enduro and dual sport versions are better geared for my trail use. I like the headlight for oncoming trail traffic visibility and brake...

    Off-Road Range Guess?

Yeah, lots of advertised great specs and that is why I ordered one on Dec. 14, but for me, inadequate trail range is the only thing that will be a deal breaker and cause me to cancel. Really, I'd still buy any given EV bike even if the weight was more, power was less, and suspension worse than...

    Off-Road Range Guess?

Good info. Thanks. If the Varg even slightly exceeds your 30 - 50kph (19 - 31mph) and 80km (50 mile) trail riding range of your Alta, that would seal the deal and I'll accept my Varg order when it's ready.

    Off-Road Range Guess?

You are correct that Stark claims a pro lever rider can complete a MXGP race on one charge. I believe those races are 30 minutes plus two laps so depending on the track, that 35 minute example seems about right. My take on it is the 6 hours is from a controlled treadmill run at a constant...

New ALTA Alternative -Stark VARG - From Europe

I thought their motor size reasoning was interesting. Based on their comments, they are suggesting, for example, that an 80hp motor operating at 50hp will be more efficient and consume less energy than a 50hp operating at 50hp. I don't know enough about electric motors to confirm or deny, but I...

STARK VARG (Something new is coming!)

The Varg lets you program the entire the entire power curve, entire engine braking curve, Virtual Flywheel Weight Acceleration, Virtual Flywheel Weight Deceleration, and Traction control. How well it's programmed I don't know, but it should be fairly straight forward. The beauty of a virtual...

    Stark Varg side stand option

If, by "through the axle", you mean a stand like the triangle stands used on motorcross bikes, I don't believe that is what Varg is optioning for at least a couple reasons. - They are charging $100 for the side stand option and a motocross triangle stand runs $15 retail so about $7 wholesale. If...

Stark Varg foot or hand brake?

I ordered 'left hand rear brake' as that is the setup I have on my Surron X, ATV, mountain bike and eMTB. On my ICE bikes, I seem to be able to still flip into "hand clutch/foot brake" mode in my head. Will be interesting to see if that changes if my percentage of riding EV dirtbike starts to...

New ALTA Alternative -Stark VARG - From Europe

Sounds like Stark may not even know exactly what will and will not be included. A couple clarifications, a SIM card is only needed in their included phone/gauge if you want it to connect to cellular towers. Otherwise it's via wifi which I'm fine with. And you can have the Varg app on any phone...
