I usually heat up the stubborn Loctite'd fasteners, works pretty good. Propane torch, heat gun, whatever's laying around. If there are parts nearby that may melt, then a soldering iron applied to the fastener works nicely. Gentle movement back and forth to free it up usually will get it moving...

Don't forget shipping charges, plus might be some hoops to jump through with shipping the battery. Still, $150-300 to fix the battery, well worth it, a bargain really considering the work involved and the specialized knowledge needed to do the job.

Pegs are definitely too low, borderline dangerous, I always hit my toes and sides of my feet on stuff, freaks me out. I constantly worry about getting a foot smashed bad, or sucked under a peg.

Count me in as a brass inserts in plastics on a dirt bike hater. And I wouldn't be too concerned about a demo bike being raced, its common for dealerships to race their demo dirt bikes, its great exposure for the bikes. Dirt bikes are pretty abuse averse, especially an electric one. No fears...
