Down anyone else besides Lyndon cover Erzberg?
There is some kind of RedBull TV on Sunday at noon, but I do not know how it works. Do you have to download and app and also pay? Or watch for free on a computer?
That's what I was wondering too. The OEM one is like a ridiculous $40+ a piece, and as we just established, they do not last. Bad design or bad material.
My MX has a broken chain slider too.
I am not much of a hill climber, but I found it a lot easier to do on the Alta compared to my 2-stroke Husky. Climbing dusty/gravely/rocky uphills in Arizona that is.
But I know what you are saying, when the traction is low the Alta's rear tire just keeps churning steadily, not...
I think Map 1 is your best bet. To prevent or limit the wheel spin you need just barely enough of power to get you up that hill. The less extra power you have -- the less wheelspin you can produce. My 2c.
Do the two bikes have the same rear tires?
I screwed up one of these myself, but the rest were pretty much like yours when I got my MX (it was a dealer's demo and had a few miles on it). I agree, this is a very poor design. They spin and they pop. That might work on an iPhone but not on a racing machine.
And your MXR is barely a month...
YAY!!! Lyndon might disagree, but to us the Alta fans, this news is almost as good at having the bikes recovered in time for the race! Thank you, Alta! (y)(y)(y)
Welcome, Flynryan. Thank you for the story, the pics and the video. It seems like almost every time an Alta enters a race, and it finishes, it wins it's class. What Alta needs is more local race wins to get more street cred. This is awesome!
