NEW! STARK VARG EX is here!

Like I said, I suspect it will be whenever the current MX warehouse inventory depletes as well as the parts bins. They will keep a certain inventory of current parts to support the current Varg, but that will be minimal. If they have a warehouse full of current parts, they will keep building...

NEW! STARK VARG EX is here!

No rumors yet, but I expect it will happen sometime mid-2025. Curious what parts of the EX you want for MX? The bigger battery? Or perhaps the new modes? Everything about the EX is focused on offroad riding; not MX. So besides stripping the lights and changing rear wheel and tire, one would...

NEW! STARK VARG EX is here!

You are mixing up kW and kWh. kW and HP are both units of power. kWh is a unit of capacity (power over time). Kilowatts (kW): a measurement of power, or the rate at which energy is produced or consumed. It represents the amount of electricity needed to power a piece of equipment at any given...

It's kind of like having a camper battery bank that is 12v and 200ah. If you have a inverter that inverts 12v Direct Current (DC) and outputs 120v Alternating Current (AC) at a max of 1,500watts, adding more batteries to your battery bank doesn't change the max output of the inverter. It only...

Max hp is based on the motor and programming of the controller. It does not automatically change just by increasing the battery size. A larger battery has the potential to allow a larger draw with less damage than a smaller battery. To increase available hp max, it would require different...

2025 Stark Varg rumors, changes, etc.

Had the battery heater on and plugged in for the last month. Couple cold snaps into the teens (F) but otherwise it's been unseasonably warm with highs above freezing. Way too warm for this time of year. Trying to be patient for the mountain snow to be deep enough for snowbiking/snowmobilng...

DMV sent me notification I need insurance on the SV, WTF???

Greedy lawyers are always a possibility, but a more likely situation is a legitimate claim against us. I try not to ride recklessly, but anyone can have an accident (be that riding too fast, a mechanical failure, losing control due to terrain, a second of inattention, etc. Coming around a trail...

2025 Stark Varg rumors, changes, etc.

Another small perk of a swappable battery would be for those that experience extreme climate temps that are outside of the recommended storage temps (cold and hot). I can't move the entire bike to a temperate area, but I could move only the battery to a place for the winter (indoors, basement...

2025 Stark Varg rumors, changes, etc.

Regarding eDirtbike regen, I only trail ride (no MX) and regen works for the majority of my slowing needs. It does require a slightly different style and the faster I ride, the more I rely on mechanical rear brake, but just relaxed trail riding, 80% regen does nearly all my rear braking...

DMV sent me notification I need insurance on the SV, WTF???

Each State is different. Typically, Title if for ownership. Registration is for decal or license plate. In my State, you need one or the other unless your are only riding on private land. Then no registration needed. Registration will be for onroad, offroad or both. I only registrered my Varg...

Great point regarding waiting until the warranty runs out on current bike as there is value in that as well.

Very happy with my Varg as well. I won't be able to decide until I go through the motions of price spread next spring (EX vs what I can get for my Varg). Only at that point can I do the calculations. Plus we'll know more about battery adaptability. Honestly, with a spread of $4,000 - $6,000...

NEW! STARK VARG EX is here!

Just drafted an order just to see the details. Reservation for US orders is $299. Guess they learned that $100 isn't enough skin to weed out the tire kickers that result in unfulfilled orders and they wanted to up it so they get a more realistic idea of takers so they don't over build. Ha...

NEW! STARK VARG EX is here!

Congrats on the order. I plan to do the same (though I haven't ordered yet). I will wait to sell my Varg MX until the EX arrives since I plan to give my buyer the new charger/stand rather than me putting my charger, that has been moved to a hard case, back in the charger. But that will depend on...

NEW! STARK VARG EX is here!

It's an understandable, but expected situation with any new company, fast moving tech, or even when an established company releases a complete update to an existing model. Happens with phones, computers, etc. where you barely have the new version figured out and they slash the price as they...

NEW! STARK VARG EX is here!

Nothing has been released, but my guess is they will announce the MX revamp (change to wiring harness, phone, cradle, etc.) once the current inventory of MX are depleted for the sale price. Then the MX will go back to the higher price. Though interestingly, the Varg website will still price the...

He also mentioned the flag-type handguards save weight by attaching to the brake reservoirs. That makes me cringe, but as long as the brake reservoir and mount are plenty beefy and the handguard finds the balance between being robust enough but still the weakest point, should be OK.

Yeah, completely new phone and cradle. Nice. Mirrors will be included, I assume, but all the manufactures take them off for press releases and videos...because they are ugly. Ha. Rear plate sticking that far back will be nice for added mud protection provided it doesn't brake off getting...

NEW! STARK VARG EX is here!

I submit a similar TV analogy but rather than screen size changing, let's do resolution. The Varg is surly nearly as usable with 60hp vs 80hp and most of the time, riders will choose to run in 60hp or less. This would be similar to a large screen TV that can display two different resolutions...
