    LHRB install difficulty?

Here is the routing of a Varg which came with a LHRB; the routing is highlighted in yellow: I suppose that you could try: 1- checking whether the master cylinder can pass between the frame, the VCU and the battery if it does, 2- removing the rear shock and hopefully making the master cylinder...

    Stark Varg burned

I agree, it's possible that it's happened because of modifications. When there is a flood for example, especially if salt water is involved, EVs can catch fire, even days after the water intrusion, because of the short circuit generated by the water. I guess that it is possible that there was...

    EX Custom iOS/Android App

In the battery replacement video tutorial, they first disconnect the CAN BUS and only afterwards they disconnect the orange power cable. I can't see whether that cable was connected while you were using that multimeter. Was it disconnected? In which state was the bike when you disconnected the...

DIY maintenance and safety for EVs

Answering to the fact that there is no voltage, here is a measurement of a disconnected battery, that I discourage to replicate since it's probably dangerous. The measured voltage is the one of the battery. I assume and I hope that the current wouldn't be allowed to flow or I don't see the use...

In 2026 there will be an electric class in the World MX Championship

I think that this is a good general piece of advice, but in the specific case of Stark, IMO they should really take care of their reputation. A lot of people already hate them for no valid reason and surely I don't want those people to have some racing failures to utilize as arguments. Now, I'm...

In 2026 there will be an electric class in the World MX Championship

It's also hard to foresee the battery duration using technical data. One way in which you can try and estimate whether the 7.2 kwh battery of the MX 1.2 would finish an MXGP race is to consider that, ideally, it can provide an average power of 14.4 kw (19 hp) for half an hour (because...

Maximizing Range for the Stark Varg

If those 60 miles have been measured with the on-board odometer, and if that odometer works measuring the rotational speed of the rear wheel as I suspect, then the 60 miles value has been affected by the different size of the rear wheel.

General first solid state battery demonstrator motorcycle

Some of you may know that there has been a series named MotoE in which they raced electric sportsbikes and that Ducati has provided their V21L bikes for the latest years. Well, that series has gone on hiatus but Ducati has still made a demonstrator for solid state batteries: It is also the...

One thing to consider is that part of the mechanical advantage is given by the ratio between the radius of the rotor and the radius of the wheel. A Ø 220 mm on a 15" wheel will generate more braking torque than the same rotor on a 18" wheel (you should also add the height of the tyre, but you...

radial master cylinder for left hand rear brake

For supermoto conversions of the Varg, I've never heard of anybody using a radial master cylinder for the rear hand brake. I've found these on the internet: from Accossato from Discacciati + the bracket and there are also radial MCs for clutches that may work. For the front brake, I've always...

    LHRB install difficulty?

Well, I've successfully used the old fashion way but only with other bikes: I've never bled the LHRB of the Varg; I just assumed it would have worked, without having ever done it. Now that I think about it, it also has a pretty long brake line.

    LHRB install difficulty?

That's another common method. It has just occurred to me that I haven't pointed out how important it is to make sure that no brake fluid end up on the brake pads because, according to some people, if that happens it can leave a residue that makes them slippery and that is hard to remove. This...

    LHRB install difficulty?

Bleeding the brake is neither difficult, nor it requires special tools, but you need to be patient. I use this pretty common method; they use that hose with a one way valve but you can just use any transparent hose that fits, like a fuel hose, just test that it doesn't get dissolved with brake...

    Stark Future next models

This makes sense and could be explained because an engine always need to be revving at least at idle speed, so if you are in a technical section at very low speeds with frequent stops trying to clear roots or rocks, you won't stop an engine from spinning, nor you will slow it down to some few...

    Stark Future next models

First of all, I don't know much about adventure riding and in general you surely know more than me if you ride in the woods. However, for example some months a go there was a guy with an ADV bike riding in a motocross track. I was the wierdo with an E bike and he was the wierdo with an ADV bike...

    Stark Future next models

I think we all agree that range is very important for an ADV bike. Like Wass said in a video years ago, the Varg has an 80 hp motor because the permanent magnets synchronous motor it uses has the best efficiency around half the maximum rotational speed, so in general it's better to have the...

My Husqvarna SM 610 had those inserts and I think they were useful to protect the soles of shoes, too. The Varg footpegs have teeth that look especially sharp and while I like the grip they give in a motocross track with boots, I suspect they would ruin shoes of people who use the SM on public...
