Looking for suspension specs to set SAG on 2018 MXR - have a Motool sag adjustment tool

Would be nice to know the optimum static & rider sag for both forks and shock. Did not see it in the Alta user manual or in this forum.

This forum's software is amazing. You go to Seach - Advanced Search, and then search for "rear sag" in the Suspension sub-forum.

I like 90 mm.

The front sag on the 48AER forks is fixed, not adjustable.

Also, it is in the Owner’s Manual, page 21-22. Although it says a standard 100-105mm.

Wow, a 2" drop and a 23% softer spring. That's a huge change. You shouldn't use the sag numbers that we recommend, you have a completely different geometry. How does the bike feel to you?

Never mind! - found the original spring (bought the bike used and it came with a 42-260. Now I have a 48-254 - so it makes a lot more sense.
1/4" shorter spring...what is the ride height multiplier caused by the linkages?
To me the bike feels great - he fixed the extremely stiff front and the overly soft rear and lowered it 2"

The motion ratio? It is somewhere around 3, but it it changes throughout the stroke depending on the ride height and the linkage geometry.

Try 90mm race sag, check if you have any static sag, and see how it feels at the track.

You might have to go to 105mm if you do not have any static sag.

Per the user manual: (measuring from the button on axle top the rear tip of number plate) 534mm unloaded & 504mm static or 30 mm static sag. ( (Will throw all my gear on the bike and take the race sag and post that here.) Would you have a recommendation for using the Motool since it attaches to the axle center and not the button at the top of the swing arm? (since the axle is closer to the swing arm pivot point than the button, it seems that I can expect a different result)

Nice! Where did you attach the glue-on plastic hook? (was thinking of going straight up to the fender if I can compensate for the additional length somehow)
