any idea whether they will make powercurve available for the MX version as well?
No doubt one of the many questions they had to edit out..... in other words noany idea whether they will make powercurve available for the MX version as well?
Why are you even here? Nothing but bantering and exaplining how bad everything is. All the time. It gets tiresome....No doubt one of the many questions they had to edit out..... in other words no
Notice he now admitted the way our phones are held in is not working "little fingers on the corners" I think he called it now going for pegs to locate it.
Just remember you are listening to a salesman answering the questions he wants to answer and dodging the ones he does not. A salesman with previous for not keeping promises who just keeps fobbing us off.
It's just software, they've finally made it, of course it will be available for MX!any idea whether they will make powercurve available for the MX version as well?
Agreed with you on all points, I work for a start up that has now become a leader in Vertical Farming and being in charge of engineers that develop stuff was a nightmare as they want everything to be perfect before release , the reality is that you cannot operate a business and have everything perfect , like you mention it will be years and you miss the boat. Everyone is going to do their best to get you to a percentage where it is market acceptable and release... I am happy with mine and I have received a new power unit in 5 days from diagnosis. Why are you even here? Nothing but bantering and exaplining how bad everything is. All the time. Of course he is a salesman! He's even the CEO of the company.
Talked quite a bit with him last fall when we did the GGN (worlds largest enduro race) together. In the charging pit both during but mainly after the race. He was in a bit of a hurry when he got his battery swapped while most of us were charging but after the race he was quite talkative. He is the real deal I can tell you.
Of course the phone won't stay on if you don't make it snap in correcctly. Myself and most others have never had any problems.
Could there be a better design? Of course! That is what development is all about. I do software for a world leading company in cinstruction equipment and I have never released what I think is "perfect", then it would never get released.
There is no certainty, I could see why it may make sense for them to keep navigation just for the EX (hopefully not), to separate the 2 bikes, but I can't see why power curves would not come to the MX?
I know it makes sense business-wise, that's why so many are doing it but I really despise software as a service, especially on a dirt bike, artificially locking features that's something you expect on hi tech gadgets or cars, not on a bike you're throwing into rocksI would agree but if there is a payable upgrade which they can make money on and there is 30% of owners of mx gen1 and gen2 that are willing to pay for the map option then as a business that would be money in the bank!
You clearly have a bit of a "together" thing for anton wass but best leave it at that. Why are you even here? Nothing but bantering and exaplining how bad everything is. All the time. It gets tiresome....

We can all read what you write. If you actully read what I wrote I never complained about the bike not being "perfect" from the start, I also have been involved in some prototype construction machinery and am well aware some issues get fixed early in production.
What has what an invester wants got to do with what a customer wants? We can all read what you write.
Yes, the bike's not perfect. Yes, the company is prioritising. Yes, they haven't delivered everything that you want by now.
I'm an engineer by training and a partner in a fund that invests into start-up companies. I would happily put my investors' money into Stark. They're doing an excellent job, better than any other bike start-up or incumbent.
Excellence is not perfection.
@UKLee I'm curious if you feel your venting/rants are actually valuable to your cause? What has what an invester wants got to do with what a customer wants?
Customer wants a trouble free bike they hardly have to spend on or work on.
Invester wants maximum profit, might be ok with a few parts going out under warranty but once the warranty is up the sale of parts is where the big money is, in this case drivetrains and batteries.
Ya that the CEO actually rides and can ride the product itself is something else.Cool interview!
Well prepared, very relaxed and a lot of information.
It is not very often that a CEO is talking with a customer for more than one hour.
They are both riders! They know what they're talking about.
I don't consider SaaS any different than any other service. Personally location or where usable doesn't matter to me. As long as the service is do no harm and goes away after the term runs out it is all the same to me. No different than a suspension tuner tuning, I don't consider SaaS any different as long as it does no harm to what I do "own" rather than "rent".I'm in the group that will never pay a subscription for vehicle or powersports options/features. If I can't get a feature by buying, I just won't have it. Or I'll buy another companies product where I can buy the features I want rather than "rent" them.
I do have a few subscriptions for non-vehicle things (streaming video, mapping app, music app) but they are usable on any of my home, mobile or PC devices and can be used anywhere; not tied to a single point of use (vehicle, powersports, etc.). I completely understand why companies do it, or try to, but I'll never be a customer of it.
So far, all subscription features, in vehicles, etc., have been for only "nice to have" options; nothing I find critical to the core function of the product. So I can still use and enjoy it for the main purpose (vehicle to drive, dirtbike to ride, etc.) But check back with me in 10 - 15 years. If there is a feature I can't live without and no manufactures offer it for purchase (only subscriptions), we'll see if I buckle. Ha.
Venting rants?@UKLee I'm curious if you feel your venting/rants are actually valuable to your cause?
From what I've read, you'd be best served selling the bike that isn't being supported properly (IYO) and investing your energy elsewhere.
I'm all for offering valuable insights, or asking for advice with issues (that's what forums are for) but as someone who runs a tech company, and understand the challenges of time to market vs feature completeness, I'm in complete alignment with some of the other replies..
I'm not trying to be a jerk, but I hate seeing so much energy go wasted (that could be put in a new, more positive direction)
Cheers
Seriously? Maybe you should reread some of your posts. Your continued whining and "ranting" is killing the buzz. You're continually pissing all over a ground breaking, amazing product, one that may not be perfect, but give it a little more time. And perhaps reflect on all the GOOD things about the product . Others here actually understand and accept the development issues challenges as part of being an early adopter. You however, are just over-the-top.Venting rants?
Got me all wrong
