Someone correct me if I'm wrong but the cells have the same capacity but because the MXR cells will let you draw power faster, you usually end up with less range on paper. Not really noticeable in practice.

I highly recommend against this: the caliper is already thin in that area compared to stock units and grinding more metal off will weaken the wall significantly. You might even go through if you're not careful.

I do not believe this is the case. It feels lower because the wheels are smaller (16/17 vs 21/19 or 18) and the tires lower profile.

From my experience working with Mahle, this will be a reality once the whole market has had a 10 years head start on them...

You don't need to change the shock. Just use the MXR link. It will fit in 99% of cases.
