Interesting way to haul your Altas

So I am guessing it is close to 0c since it's snowing. How do you feel the bike handles in that cold temperature? Do you "warm" it up before you ride?

    Subframe Crack. Worth Replacing?

As Snydes says, it should be fine if you stop the propagation. When we designed this part, we tested it to failure and it took more than 2 tons of pressure to break it. Unless you often do big jumps, I'd think you can use it and monitor.

    2 seemingly stupid questions

For the holeshot, I recommend getting used to map 4. You can also use the rear brake to help control the dank wheelies.

    A pack vs R pack

You would have to swap the inverter as well, and the main harness. Also do not use the A pack connectors with R packs: you will catch on fire eventually.

Thinking about getting another e-dirt bike: Which One?

For having personally sourced and negotiated the price of half the BOM on that bike, I would be very surprised if someone comes up with similar performance at a cheaper price in the next couple of years. I sure hope I'm wrong though.

    Top Fairing screws

I would add that it's not because people do not read the manual to maintain their bike that makes the design "bad." I mean, how many people have put their cellphone in the microwave...?!

SM wheels and brakes on a non-SM

Please share more info. Aside from Beringer which is insanely expensive (hence not feasible for production) I don't know of a "viable" solution.

    The Storm Bee is out!

That's actually not quite how the Alta works. The different maps limit the rate of acceleration. To illustrate exactly what that means/feels like, test opening the throttle wide open at once at low speed in map 1,2 and 3. You'll see/feel the difference. If memory serves, in map 1 you can count...
