    Withdrawn 2018 MXR 16k

Their site says the phone and chargers come included with the price of the bike. Of the two versions they have, 60hp and 80hp (+$1,000), Is there a reduction in range for the 60hp version? Also, would there be a weight reduction if they are using fewer cells? They say they will be shipped...

    Re-sealing the battery

A little trick is to soak the dried silicone with a towel saturated in Stoddard fluid (parts cleaner). It will dissolve the bond and you will be able to peel it away easily. When I dropped my battery 1-1/2" for a lower center of gravity, I needed to slightly "reshape" the bottom cover to clear...

    Re-sealing the battery

I know the butyl was used for the cover, would silicone seal also do the job? It is a very aggressive adhesive. Just a thought.

    2019 Alta MXR down

This is just a wild thought and probably has no merit. But. My brother was a Paleontologist in a museum and I wondered if a device like an air dent (like a mini-sandblaster or sodablaster used in preparing dinosaur specimens) would aid in removing corrosion? Further, if the corrosion is...

Ride trip to Colorado and Utah 2021

Fantastic adventure. I try to get out to Colorado and Idaho every chance I get as the riding and scenery is spectacular, not that Utah isn't in the same league. Thanks for sharing.

Owner's Review My 2018 MXR was just delivered. First ride thoughts....

I have an idea for us woods riders who want a clutch, but I need a donor throttle assembly from and EXR or MXR to experiment with. Someone may have a broken or cut one they no longer want or can use.

I have an idea..........I have been wanting to play with the idea of an electric clutch. If anyone has an old throttle for my EXR I will experiment and let everyone know the results. It could be a smashed or one of the cut throttle assemblies that you have decided not to use. Just a thought ...

Flux Performance - eMX startup from Europe

Another thing that would be very useful in tight single track, would be a reverse. With electric, it could all be done with programming, so no additional weight gain for the added benefit.

Display Guard - Protect it from crashes!

I called my son, Eric, who is taking care of things. He will be at the shop tomorrow and will check. There are probably only about two or three MX/MXR style units left, no EX/EXR unless we make an adapter for mounting behind the light.

    Code 007 isolation

That's the way to do it! I had 6mi on my new Moto Guzzi V85TT when I tore it down. I did find dry steering head bearings. I tore apart my Altas also. This is where I found out the spectacular attention to detail the factory did assembling these bikes. The Alta was the best I have every seen...
