Yet another CRF 250 Build but its my first so... ;)

My conversion is no different. I think most of the chain rattle happens ALL the time on every MX bike. The difference is that there's no engine noise to drown out the other noises (chain, suspension, wheels, the random wire or cable slapping against plastic or the frame). Dirt bikes go through...

Arctic Leopard E-XE 880 Electric Dirt Bike

That may be, but keep in mind that Charged sells Arctic Leopards, so his take is a little biased. Your money with probably better spent on your conversion.

    YZ-EMX Kits now Available

I had a chance to ride the YZ-EMX with Electro & Co and ElectricCycleRider.com a few months ago. Great bike! The review went live last week. Check it out! Here's the full article:

Yet another CRF 250 Build but its my first so... ;)

Love the idea of the push lock! That will make battery swaps so much easier. Might have to integrate that on my YZ build. What kind of range are you aiming for? I'd guess that at 81v 60ah you'll be able to comfortably get 30-35 miles of trail range (depending on the terrain). On the track...

Yet another CRF 250 Build but its my first so... ;)

Great point there. But yes I've heard good things about the 3Shul too. I'm no programmer, so would need to find a way to get the controller working properly with the motor.

Yet another CRF 250 Build but its my first so... ;)

I've been looking at those same Ultra Bee batteries. The 80v 76ah from Ewatt. They also have an 88v option! Chi Battery Systems also has one coming out soon. So, this is a question for Don (or anyone else in the know): What do you think of running these higher voltage batteries? I guess it...

Yet another CRF 250 Build but its my first so... ;)

Happy to help wherever I can. Don is the true guru here, whereas I have gained some practical knowledge through my own recent experiences... although I'm a lifelong MX enthusiast. As far as electronics go though, Don is the mon! To answer your questions: 1) It may be possible to fit the EM260...

Yet another CRF 250 Build but its my first so... ;)

Great points all around, Don, as always! I'll take some more with the seat off so you can see what I did. The Yamaha is a bit unique with the under-the-seat gas cap, so I took advantage of that, but it would likely be easier to setup the quick change option on a bike with traditional gas tank...

Yet another CRF 250 Build but its my first so... ;)

Amorge can build a battery to your specs, or very close, to fit the frame as is. Why ruin the frame's structural integrity when you don't have to? If you're doing it to achieve 3 or 4 more ah, damaging the frame is not worth it. It looks like you're setting up the battery to be quickly removable...

There goes the structural integrity of your frame. NEVER cut an MX frame that you are planning to use for MX. Please DO NOT jump this thing.

For Sale ELECTRO AND CO 28KW SUZUKI RMZ

If not for the frame you cut (never ever a good idea, especially for moto) to save weight, it would be a gorgeous build. What controller are you running? How many amps? Battery specs?

Where Can Your Race On Your Stark

Definitely a growing list of federations. Great to see. If anyone races their Stark or eMoto, or knows of someone who has, please post up the results! I'm most interested in MX, but it's interesting to see where the bikes are being used and how they're performing.

    2008 YZ450F Electric Conversion

Very nice and clean! Great work! Yes, Don is quickly reaching legend status. He also helped me a ton on my conversion and others as well. I like where you mounted the display. I opted to go without one, but seeing yours is making me rethink that decision! And yeah, twin-spar perimeter frame is...

Thanks for the info, Don! Not huge changes but certainly some improvements. Things have come a long way in the last few years.

Where Can Your Race On Your Stark

Is that right for France? That must be new, since Do was not allowed to accrue point in the SX Tour. If so, I will certainly update the article to include.

Where Can Your Race On Your Stark

I just put this article together for ElectricCycleRider.com. It's fairly comprehensive but please let me know if I missed any significant events, series, or organizations that are allowing emotos. Hope you enjoy! WHERE CAN YOU RACE YOUR EMOTO? Arctic Leopard E-XE 880 Electric Dirt Bike

The Talaria Dragon is a smaller bike like the Ultra Bee or Dust Moto, or the other new Arctic Leopard model, the EXT800. The Arctic Leopard E-XE 880 is a full size bike meant to compete with the Varg or 250F...maybe a 450F, at least off the bottom. Excited to see where it does fit in, how it...

How long are we expecting the Stark battery to last (long term)

By the time the batteries need replacement, cells will be cheaper and more efficient. And if Stark continues on their path of innovation, they will likely have a solution for you, as will numerous aftermarket companies.
