Poll: Are you using the original Stark Varg Stand/Charger as intended?

Wow, these poll results are embarrassing for whoever at Stark Future approved the design decision to combine the charger with the bike stand — less than 15% of owners like it. It is time to offer an alternative charger box that does not require us to lug around an extra 20 lbs of aluminum.

    Can-Am Electric Motorcycles

Yeah. Electric adventure motorcycles should have a hybrid powertrain with a small battery and a small on-board gas generator. I wonder who is going to attempt this first.

    OX-Hydra brake LHRB

Ouch! I remember the first time I took a stock MX to a motocross track it bottomed such that the frame hit the hard dirt and the heels of my feet on the footpegs hit the ground. I was afraid to jump after that and started doing the boner air thing not to flat land again. Then I emailed Alta and...

do you store the bike in standby mode or completely off?

My bike sat fully shut down for about 40 days and lost just 1%. So you should be okay.

Poll: Are you using the original Stark Varg Stand/Charger as intended?

I see you do not like lifting your 7000 W generator either, probably running it right out of the back of your van, LOL! (y)

    Charging with Active Cooling System

Yes, it was this guy. He and Stark concluded it was the battery overheating, not the cool-able powertrain parts (the motor or the inverter). I suppose, pre-cooling the powertrain while you have the charger hooked up will save you some battery juice later in the day when you would otherwise have...

    Charging with Active Cooling System

Turns out it is possible to turn the active cooling system on while charging your Stark Varg. It would be cooling the motor and the inverter but not the battery. Why would anyone want to turn the cooling system on? What are the pros and cons? See at the 0:37 minute mark.

Poll: Are you using the original Stark Varg Stand/Charger as intended?

The design decision to combine the bike stand with the battery charger has received mixed reviews. Some thought it was cool, whereas others outright refused to lug around the clunky contraption that weighs 41 lbs (19 kg) and came up with various alternative solutions that separated the charger...

    stark varg leg grips

I only do MX, and I do not like narrow bikes. When Tomac switched to Yamaha, he said he wanted a wider bike that was easier to grip. I feel too loose on the Stark. My Alta is about the same width, but it widens to the front and to the back, and I feel very secure on it. But I need to add some...

Can stark stock handlebars be moved Fwd?

Yes, a few millimeters. The handlebar clamps can be rotated in their position. The default position is back. Thanks for reminding me about this, I need to do the same.

Owner's Review stark vs husky te 300 2 stroke hard enduro

Thank you for the review. It is nice to learn different perspectives. The comments about the throttle and the power modes are spot-on. Ouch! That is NOT a compliment, LOL! The stock WP suspension is by far the worst in the business, only a step above the no-name Chinese suspensions.

    stark varg leg grips

You may be onto something here. What would be the right way to taper a bike?

Tesla cybertruck 240v plug adapter type?

I think you are right, except the P and R (plug and receptacle) should should be reversed. Nema 14-50P is the household laundry dryer plug that would plug into the Cybertruck. Nema L14-30R is a locking receptacle for the "generator plug".

Tesla cybertruck 240v plug adapter type?

You'd need an adapter cable Nema 14 50 plug to Nema L14-30 receptacle.

When did you get your bikes, @Duncan and @MadpdXabbott? Or what are your VINs? I wonder if Stark Future has changed their greasing procedures?

Service your linkage and swingarm bearings asap

I am not looking forward to taking apart a brand-new motorcycle just to add the missing grease that the assembly line workers didn't bother to add. What a mess! It must be some new Euro eco anti-petroleum regulations where they are not allowed to add grease at the factory, or something? Or...

Mylaps Transponder Malfunction on Redshift SM

I have no idea what the range of a transponder reader would be, but if it is limited, then they are more likely to be seeking for your transponder a little higher on the bike. But a transponder in the boot is a great idea. When I raced my two Altas in a 1-hour WORCS race in Havasu earlier this...

Mylaps Transponder Malfunction on Redshift SM

Usually these are zip-tied to the top of the fork leg, which is higher than your boot. Also, they tell you which side of the bike it should be (usually left).
