New UK owner road legal gen 2

Awesome congrats on your new ride!! I think you will love it more than you even expect. And I am almost certain you won't miss a clutch at all. The ride by wire capability of the Stark is mind altering. Side stand is very mediocre I am surprised they didn't ditch it since they have been making...

    New Stark Discounts/Stock Tube Issues

Tesla is large enough that they can lobby for a government bailout and cling on to some of their high prices. One thing that distinguished Stark was its ability to stay close to ICE competition on price/value. A smaller startup type of venture in a very limited market like Stark has to adjust to...

    New Stark Discounts/Stock Tube Issues

Ya me either. I think it is bullshit to whine about the pricing. I am not a Stark fanboy but we were early adopting, and the bikes were in early production that is the way it works. And some of the early stuff that was not so good they have already have improved due to customer demand. No other...

    Stark Varg swing arm

Not sure on the 450sx. There is this thread Stark Varg Hard Enduro Mods looks like only high priced carbon for Stark specific. If you find something like a KTM plastic match update if you can. TY

Very good review Dirt Bike Channel

I have never understood the weird religion of power plants. If a bike is good it is good. I have a 4T wr450, a 2T xcw-300 tpi, and a Stark. The Stark is the best bike I have and it is a powerful dream to ride. And since I don't moto any longer I get pretty good battery life in enduro and the...

Stark Varg insurance in the Bay Area

Awesome. I wish other states were the same way when it comes to OHVs.

Stark Varg insurance in the Bay Area

Is your Varg licensed for the road? Maybe the laws and coverage are different where you are, but to be considered street legal here they must be licensed and registered --and in the case of a claim insurance might not cover otherwise. OHV coverage can be different in many states but that is...

    Bike won’t shift from neutral

Did they suggest replacing the power button assembly?

    Half sized race battery?

Ya I was thinking the same thing. Wonder if you could DIY that?

    Varg - Gear Oil Change

They weren't very happy about me demanding the new design. Also, more than one service person insisted I was wrong that there was no new design. Then when I reposted the picture from here they said yes there was a new design and then proceeded to send me the old one again. :muutt: Finally after...

    Varg - Gear Oil Change

It wasn't easy but I finally got the magical new design. @Foss was right after much back and forth and getting sent the old style multiple times finally got what I wanted. This was shipped from Spain and was not shipped the typical way things are from the Stark store. I think the deal is the...

Update Gen 2 fail and now motorcycle is dead

Exactly right. On your last point I wish they would update documentation with software/firmware behavior changes associated with updates and fixes. It hard to find this stuff. And YouTube or TikTok videos are not enough for a top grade platform. Almost all software companies have release...

    Varg - Gear Oil Change

Agreed. They don't even have good communication among service/parts themselves. Some know they have a new design others don't. Also, they must have some newbs working there because when I complained about getting sent the wrong bolt twice he/she accused me of trying to get free bolts and that...

Questions: Track & Trail set-up. Charging & Transport.

Yes and most folks not riding moto aren't using the Stark with Taddy Blazusiak skills. A lot depends on how you ride the bike. In slow tough gnarl riding the Stark will usually outlast most rider's endurance. Long desert riding or big loop mileage might be different though.

    Varg - Gear Oil Change

Unhappy to report that Stark sent me the old style for a second time. I complained originally and they said the would send the correct one. The "correct" one arrived and was wrong again.

    Magenta light of death

Well since they diagnosed it as the battery maybe they have a diag that indicates that. But personally when I have had problems similar to that I start with the power switch itself. It is simple and easy to replace and has been known to be flakey especially when dirt, water, or mud get in it...

Do you switch maps while riding? I do.

I'd like the bike to roll even better when I push it (like neutral):muutt:. I haven't been stranded on a track because I ride enduro but pushing a Stark out of the woods after a crash or break down is awful. And I can't imagine it makes it any easier if you are on the other side of the track...

Do you switch maps while riding? I do.

IMHO I think they should continue to progress with even better throttle control. A clutch means some of your strength and control has to be removed from the bars to modulate power & etc. They have brought the tech this far, fly-by-wire works effectively for dirtbikes, I am simply beyond...

    Varg footpegs and boots.

I like Gaerne SGs for durability and comfort. They are expensive and heavy but hold up much better than the lighter less expensive Foxes and ASs IMHO. SG-10s start at around 400.00 SG-12s are around 450.00 and SG-22s will run over 600.00. There are some lesser models but SG-10s get the job...
