Its the dealer version. Based on the indivitual module voltages - looks like Module 2 is a bit lower than the remaning modules (2mV roughly based on the algorithm which triggers the Code 36). How often is the pack cycled?

@JustinElectric - can you provide a photo of the charger. Also if this is the raw HK charger this will not have the necessary connectors to talk to the Alta DCCP.

So this is a stock harness from my spares, the wiring is continious through the entire loom: What that looks like is the connector (see the beige conn at the end) between the harness main and the switchgear has been compromised/damaged. So that being said - color codes to match:

I can sort of make it out, but there might be some sleeving on the wires on the left? I can pull up the wiring harness for the start/stop tonight.

There should be a connector in the harness behind the headlight to plug it back into.

The screws are stripped?

The mechanical repair is a bit tougher and the software fix is tried and verfied (per NTHSA)

Sorry to hear that your moving out of California. Interesting that you indicate that theres bad news for the West coast.

You need to update to the latest inverter firmware release. Mechanically adjusting the throttle will not suffice.

Contactors will stop that from happening. If the contactors are open (just like on an Alta) there is no voltage unless the bike is active and pre-charge is safe across the controller and the battery pack

Coolish. Every CHP ive taken Altas to have been pretty chill, when I took my Alta to the DMV, they didnt even bother looking at the bike (I did as it was sitting in the back of my truck).

Is the display turning off? There is a blue LED on the battery which shows the pack is on.

Only way to update would be to borrow a multitool laptop. Possibly is available in the FL area. Alta or Alta accessories since the time of Alta's closure has not been really serviced by a dealer persay. You could try WMR Performance, since there always interested in helping Alta customers.

Thats exactly it. The BCU is reading the cell voltages via the BMS (LTC Chip on the module) There is a bit of voltage sag and when the bike fires up it does a re-calibration.

Few things: 1. Is the charger plugged into the bike? 2. Sounds like the GCFI is pushed in as there is a green light. 3. The fan/heat/behavior will not occur untill the bike recognizes the charger. If your bike is a MX/MXR and has never been updated, it could not handshake correctly, and be...
