AMA and Electric Motorcycles in AMA/FIM races

Eddie Karlsson is probably gonna get some serious miles, electrics are legal to race in FIM Hard enduro world championship,

Round 2: Extreme Lagares, Portugal – May 1–3

Round 4: Abestone Rodeo Miravalle, Italy – July 10–12
Round 5: Forza Orza, Sweden – August 20–22

Round 8: Sea to Sky, Turkey – October 8–10
Round 9: Hixpania, Spain – October 23–25

That will make Stark participating in 3 FIM world championships: WSX, Superenduro and now likely Hard enduro.

Minimum weight for electrics in FIM Superenduro just got dropped from 117 kg to 113 kg.

Well spotted from the guys at

I don't share their analysis though.

They're likely right that current bike does not weight 117 kg, it's probably closer to 120 kg. But I don't think 113 kg is something like a statement for the future or whatever by the FIM, it's probably much more down to earth and with immediate effect.

Indeed, this new rule enables Stark to race lighter batteries, for example, going from 100S4P to 100S3P would save about 7 kg. Which is a trick they've already done when racing AX UK and SX tour.

Now you do the maths: 120 - 7 = ?

What a great leap from the very first set of rules published in late 2024: electrics were then restricted to 48 hp and a minimum weight of 123 kg.
