Here is a photo showing the motor mounts pinched between the three tubes. There is no movement once the swing arm is tightened. Hope this helps.

Interesting controllers but my X-9000 is also VESC Based.
Even a nice plus is that it has a 12v converter build in, so no extra wiring and device needed to run things like lights / horn or a waterpump.
cool thing is, it has 3x 12v outlets one specific for Waterpump so you can set an exact value where it should start pumping for example motor temperature etc.

was thinking to maybe install a horn or some sort of funny sound device to warn ppl in front of be when I am about to overtake xD as I have seen some scary Stark crashed only happened since no one noticed the E Rider beeing behind them.

I just recieved the Bussmann fueses up to 125VDC and 500A and they seem solid.
but AMH is not a common fuse Type so there are no Fuse holders out there for AMH Fuses they are usually build in in specificly made Car Fuse systems.
So I went with an "ANF" fuse holder and modifyed it to fit the AMH fuse

Unbenannt.jpgUnbenannt1.jpgUnbenannt2.jpg

I have seen many run this sort of connections "more open" (unisolated)
we are not talking a car here where the whole frame is the Negative Pole but I am still uncomfortable having any Positive leads exposed to the elements.
So I will even put a waterproof wrap around this fuse holder:
Unbenannt3.jpg

same goes for the open joints for the leads on the controller, planning to cover them with liquid electrical tape

all other wiring connectors on the bike I will additionally cover with waterproof heatshrinks

makes it harder to undo something of cause but I like the idea that I can carefree pressurewash the bike from any angle without having to fear that water stays in certain areas and can cause any damage.

You are right about frame not being the reference ground in the system, but I think the controller or motor do have ground on their cases. I had a wire come loose, and it sparked to the frame, but no serious damage, this started me looking into an earlier fuse in the power circuit.

still desperatly waiting for the Amorge Battery....
@Dave Daum do you have any news on yours?
I know after sales communications are bad with them so I didn´t even yet once asked whats the status and tried to stay calm and waiting patiently...
If it was already on the way I guess Christmas Logistics Chaos would have delayed it anyways.
I got a Shipping notification in my UPS app that the JD.com B2C (google says Large Chinese Logistics Company) has Printed a Label for a Parcel to my Destination on the 19.th Dec. but Packedge hasn´t yet been picked up by UPS I have nothing else I am waiting for ATM so I assume this might be the Amorge Parcel I am waiting for...

anyways to keep the waiting time "fun" I did some small things:

I now also got one of those battery switches that @DonCox uses I also installed a 10W 1KJ Resistor between the Posts to keep alive the anti Spark feature of the QS10 Plugs.
Unbenannt1.jpg

Unbenannt.jpg

a feature I didn´t know of before in the OFF prosition you can take the cap off,
it acts as a key so no one can start the bike without it.
Unbenannt2.jpg
due to my battery going way up inside the hollowed gastank I might not be able to install it where the gastankcap sits and have to look for another easy to reach location.

After fixing the Controller heavy duty tight and snug in the Airbox I noticed there is a little less space to route the Motor wires with the stock Cable shoes.
Unbenannt3.jpg
I didn´t want to harmfully Bend them so I googled a bit and found 90 degree angled Cable shoes that worked like a charm:
Unbenannt6.jpg

sure you need a 25mm Pressure Chrimp tool to get this done right but my tools arsenal has already expended a bit since I started this project xD
and so far I enjoy this journey and the new tools

over christmas brake I also gifted my bike some Red Black Bling Bling Haan Wheels Hubs with Excel Rims, Black Spokes and Red Nips
Unbenannt4.jpgUnbenannt5.jpg

as I currently got into torque wrenching 😁 I was wondering how to mark the Bolts or write next to them how much torque they need.
Dont want to run around with the Honda Manual all the time when controlling the Screws...
Thought about color coding them or so as it is not so many different values...
for example Swing Arm Main Bolt and axel nuts are all 88NM
Lower Triple Clamp 20NM as well as the Fork Shoe Bolts, Bar Mounts etc.
Upper Tripple Clamp 22NM
Upper Rear Shock Mount 44NM
So some value of torque you see again and again on the bike.

additionally I was wondering on how tight to torque the Motor to the Motor mount and the Motor mount to the frame...
Currently I did it the good old "handtight + a bit" way....

I too have received no information about the sea shipment from Amorge. My order was placed on or about November 20th. From what I've heard, we should expect the shipment to take 45 days or more.it is super hard to wait patiently. It looks like you've been using your time to refine your bike build. I to have been working on my build. I've added a left hand rear brake that works with the existing foot brake
I've also re built my reat suspension bearings and added a lowering linkage. I'll post photos soon.

I'm so thankful for the interaction and guidance from you, Bayo, and @DonCox .

okay I ordered mine 15th of Nov and I paid for Air Shipping.
As I heard Sea Shipping can take up to 2 months travel time alone without the production time of the battery.
Even Air Shipping was up to 14 Days.
But heard in some FB groups where also ppl where waiting for their batterys and when they reached out Amorge said they are super busy to keep up with all the orders.
Seems like we need to be a little more patient ;) its not amazon :p

its just the last piece of the puzzle for me right now and I would love to see the bike come alive... was even considering buying a cheap power supply that can do 72v min or any cheap Battery that is at least able to spin the tyre so I can setup some stuff and actually see if my months ago ordered controller / motor etc work fine xD

We're in the same situation. I'm ready to hook up the battery and go. I bought an 84v variable rate high-speed battery charger. I'm tempted to connect it to the battery leads to spin up the motor. Any thoughts?

Hey guys, the waiting for the battery is painful. If you got the fed ex label info, the battery has shipped. I think they do not airship these batteries. It takes just way too long. But boat ship and Fed ex it once it reaches your country. It looks like in Germany they use UPS. For my builds, I have a 72 V 100a small test battery that I use to run the bikes up and down the street. Email Amorge and ask them for the in country shipping label. That is made once it leaves there factory. I get air shipments from Aliexpress all the time, and they are quick, and you can track them.
Dave bring your bike out to Pala this Sunday. I am going to be there with 3electric bikes. I will bring my test battery.

Well, air shipping lithium batteries is problematic since they are considered as hazardous material:
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) About Shipping Lithium Batteries by Air
but if @fmxxx666 has paid for air shipping, it must mean that they do that and that it's faster. I'm curious to see how this will end up.

I just received this email from Allen at Amorge:
"

Maybe the ship is delayed a little.
It will usually arrive at the port this week, and then clear customs and dispatch next week.
You will usually receive the battery within two weeks.

@Dave Daum I also asked Allen today and got a promt answer.
It has been flown to Europe with a chinese company and the tracking number my UPS App told me is in fact the one for the battery for the inner germany transport.
But UPS has not gotten the parcel yet so its still in china magic delivery.

@Theo absolutely correct with no Lithium Batterys on Airplanes ( I even recently had a Guitar that I shipped with DHL from Germany to USA returned before uplift as it contained a small 9V Battery 🤬) if you are a private person and use DHL UPS Fed Ex or any other common carrier you have no chance shipping batterys. But china has its ways like all these Temu Aliexpress Alibaba planes will bring you all the junky hobby RC Lipos, Torches etc. with no limitations so I guess Amorge used one of these ways.

As always, thank you @DonCox for the information. This Sunday is wide open. I'll do my best to get out to Pala this weekend. I look forward to seeing at the track!
I am loaded, and I am driving to Fox raceway tomorrow, to camp overnight and ride sunday.
Do you want me to bring the 450CRF Honda. Are you still interested in it. I can bring it with the test battery. Hope to see you there. I have a 2003 Flair Class A 32' Motorhome, with a trailer.

@DonCox

I look forward to seeing you at Pala on Sunday. I'll be in a white extra long Sprinter Van. If it isn't too much trouble I'd love to look at your CRF.

@Dave Daum congrats man that’s awesome enjoy

My feelings towards Amorge have gone down now a lot as I bought mine 5 days earlier than you and paid 365$ for air shipping and have no battery in sight yet… was planning to get a second one when the fist one is good but now I don’t know… at least I paid with PayPal and can pull the trigger and get my money back if nothing arrives…
