    Based on what I see in the picture those tiny wires could be for current sensing/balancing. (The silkscreen on the PCBA does say CELL #) so it could possibly be for that.

    How does the motor spin with the gear reduction removed on the right side? What firmware is on the bike? Rarely the motor has a magnet failure. Most of the time if the motor felt tight that was a possible issue with the inverter. We would find the issue before shipping and swap the inverter out.
