We ran the bikes directly on our dyno. Plugged in specfic ratio values into the dyno computer per each bike (sprocket sizes was different). Went from 4000 all the way to max rpm of 18000 (all in Map 4) Did a static run of 8k in Map 4.
The NHTSA documentation we have indicates the VIN breakdown structure you have. What are you looking for? The dealer/owner you bought the bike from should have the title info, and legal paper work? I know in NZ you need some sort of certificate...
(Cliff notes: Homologation of vehicles suck.)
To be clear the solution on A pack BCUs is going to be a challenge. R pack PCBAs were the latest parts. A Pack bike population issues are lower compared to the R packs. In this case we are aiming to replace one of the BRD's not the BCU.
We did some part changes with the rock guard and the mudflap. (BTW @OneLapper your pictures are huuge)
Original rock guard had inserts where the mudflap would be installed. Mudflap was made out of plastic which had some issues rubbing on the swingarm.
Then we revved up the rock guard and...
Sounds like the crystal board is damaged. You can try tightening the small screws to see if the pressure will help, but more sounds like a display board swap.
I will not talk to the aspect of that interest as it has been hinted before in the forums. But in my past engineering exp with Zero the number of owners who got access to the firmware parameters in the BMS and the MBB (similar to the BCU and ACM respectively) ended up bricking those expensive...
Im more than happy to stay quiet. Its not like yall can fix your bikes properly...shoot one person ended up fixing a problem with black tape. Good job.
I get that. But once again what is the point of damaging a good part before solving the issue with the correct course of action? TThe OP is concerned and there is a proper path to solve before going down the rabbit hole.
@zootie To quote @OneLapper one more time. And to also re-emphasize for the final time. You need to update your bike. Before you play with the pack and possibly damage the internals do the simple repair first.
No one in the Pacific Northwest had equipment, but your equipment might make that a heck of alot easier

The MXR has different cell chemistry than the MX (Panasonic vs Sony) . The 17 MXs might be a bit different compared to the final MXs (production/process/part refinements).
